Saylor's Biggest Bitcoin Sale Ever Just Fooled Everyone! | Truth Block

Michael Saylor and Strategy just made their biggest Bitcoin sale ever — and the mainstream media is calling it broken Bitcoin math.
Speakers: Hurley, Michael Saylor, Larry Lepard

Michael Saylor just sold more Bitcoin in the last week than Strategy has sold in its entire history. And the Wall Street Journal had the obituary out before the market even opened. Price dumped on the headline, then came all the way back up by lunch. The mainstream media flew to Vegas to make Saylor look like a crazy cult leader.

**Michael Saylor** (0:15)
If you're going to ask me these questions, you cannot interrupt me.

**Hurley** (0:18)
And while everyone was staring at Saylor, the real story was happening everywhere else. China's housing market just erased 20 years of gains. American home sellers now outnumber buyers by the widest gap ever recorded. And central banks are hoarding gold like it's 1971 Something much bigger than one company's balance sheet is moving. This is TruthBlock. I'm Hurley. Let's mine truth.
Quick favor before we dig in, many of you who watch every week are not subscribed. If this show helps you keep your head while the headlines get loud, subscribe to Simply Bitcoin. It's free and it keeps the signal coming. So let's start with a huge news this morning. Strategy filed an 8K with the SEC disclosing that they sold 3,588 Bitcoin last week for $216 million.
Now, that is by far the biggest sale in the company's history, but let's keep it in perspective.
They're still holding 843,775 Bitcoin. And they're sitting on $2.55 billion in cash. It looks like the knee-jerk reaction to the sale took Bitcoin down to 61K, but by midday we were back above 63K and the 200-week moving average. STRC has clawed its way back to $90 and MSTR is now above $100.
So that's the scariest strategy headline of the year, digested in hours. If you saw our last episode, you know the frame. The wick-off spring. The play is to break the floor on purpose, flood the zone with fear and collect the coins at the bottom. And this morning's FUD wave is the same machine running, with its favourite character back in the spotlight. The Wall Street Journal published an article early this morning claiming strategy is trapped by its own broken Bitcoin math. And it goes beyond the financial press. Channel 4 is national news in the UK and they flew to the Bitcoin conference in Vegas to sit down with the most convicted Bitcoin bull alive.

There was a lot of hope in that room. A woman told me that she's worked all her life, she's got nothing to show for it for her retirement, she's now investing in your company. Is that a heavy responsibility? Do you take that responsibility seriously?

**Michael Saylor** (2:25)
Do I have a responsibility? Yeah, of course I do. The millions, tens of millions, millions of credit investors, tens of millions of equity investors and hundreds of millions of credit investors. And our role is to explain to politicians why Bitcoin is good for the world.
It's our job to explain.

**SPEAKER_3** (2:41)
Is Bitcoin good for the world?

**Michael Saylor** (2:43)
Of course it's good for the world.

**SPEAKER_3** (2:44)
Why is it good for the world?

**Michael Saylor** (2:45)
You have some money and you want to keep it forever and give it to your kids, kids. The idea of economic immortality or economic sovereignty, so that your family is economically secure, that's a very compelling idea.

**SPEAKER_3** (3:02)
Immortality is very compelling for everybody.

**Michael Saylor** (3:04)
Spiritual immortality is the basis of religion. Economic immortality is the basis of Bitcoin.

**Hurley** (3:11)
Throughout the whole 20-minute video, they're painting Bitcoiners as crazy ideologues, and Saylor is a cult leader, preying on desperate people. And it gets worse. Through the whole interview, she just keeps interrupting him, until Saylor finally had enough.

**SPEAKER_3** (3:24)
What happened last year? What happened with the price last year?

**Michael Saylor** (3:27)
It goes up and it goes down, but it's irrelevant because the point is, it's going up double to triple the rate of the S&P over the long term, because it's economically superior.

**SPEAKER_3** (3:38)
People shouldn't panic if it loses 50% of its value. Is that the crypto winter?

**Michael Saylor** (3:43)
No, the right way to think of it is people shouldn't invest in a volatile capital asset. If you want to make a capital investment in anything, real estate, equity, Bitcoin, you should have a time horizon of 4 to 10 years. If you need the money in the next 4 months, you're a credit investor.

**SPEAKER_3** (4:03)
But all the risks, all the risks, all the risks, all the risks.

**Michael Saylor** (4:08)
If you're going to ask me the question, you've got to listen to the answer. The point really is Bitcoin is the world's most secure digital property network. It's 21 million blocks, it's the cyber of Manhattan.
