Nigel (0:02)

That's a big, mean orange man right there. President Trump opening up his big, mean speech before the UN General Assembly earlier this afternoon, earlier this morning, actually, in New York. My name is Nigel. That's Jason Hammer right over there.

Jason Hammer (0:20)

I watched that earlier today. Had a little bit of everything. There was a lot of pro-America, a lot of look what we've done, but also a little bit of calling people out right to their face. It wouldn't be a Trump, UN speech if he didn't flame the UN as they were all sitting there.

If he didn't just rip on Iran, who had their president sitting there.

Nigel (0:43)

I think Cuba walked out at one point, just saying.

Jason Hammer (0:47)

So it was a pretty good speech. I've heard the president be more angry. I've heard him be more hostile.

But I thought today was just fine.

Nigel (0:59)

When you're speaking in front of the UN, you have to have some modicum of decorum.

SPEAKER_3 (1:05)

Well, you're supposed to.

Nigel (1:07)

Which the president has very, very little, little of.

But he did all right. He did more than all right.

Jason Hammer (1:16)

So if you missed it earlier today, here are some highlights of the president speaking really to the world at the UN General Assembly. Here he is calling out Iran.

SPEAKER_3 (1:29)

The terrorist regime is behaving badly, not because they are strong and confident, but because they are weak and desperate. If we stand united, we will soon see a world free of the last 51 year menace of Iranian terror. And oil prices will come plummeting down even lower than they were at the start of the conflict. And they were very low in the United States. They were really low.

With courage and resolve, anything is possible. Big changes can happen and happen fast.

Nigel (2:06)

Let's hope.

I mean, especially, he mentioned the gas prices. Right. Diesel. Holy God Almighty. Diesel is one of those things where we all feel the effects of that eventually because the trucks and the semis and the haulers.

Jason Hammer (2:22)

Right. You piss off the truckers. You got a problem.

You don't want to do that. But I do love, though, when they're watching these speeches, like when he starts ripping on somebody, like in this case, ripping on Iran, the cameraman, like the pool in room cameraman, finds the representative of Iran and just isolates on them. And you got to watch this poor bastard sit there and just take it and squirm. Right.

SPEAKER_3 (2:47)

Right.

Jason Hammer (2:49)

President Trump letting the rest of the world know why he chooses to do the things that he does.

SPEAKER_3 (2:56)

I do not believe in letting problems fester. They only become harder to solve. So while others have talked, I have acted.

While others have spoken of peace, I have made peace. While others have ignored threats, I have confronted them. While others have talked of courage, America has shown it. While others have promised strength, I have used it to make America the most powerful country in the world.

Working with many nations in this room, we are solving decades of intractable challenges, and we are settling years of unfinished business, and we're doing it well. There is no better example of a danger that was allowed to gather strength at the world's peril than the number one sponsor of terror, the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Nigel (3:54)

You know, when you said that Donald Trump was going to explain why he does the things he does, I thought it was just going to be, and I'm president.

Jason Hammer (4:02)

Can you believe it?

Nigel (4:03)

Can you?

Jason Hammer (4:04)

I don't know, which is a actual quote for the president Trump his first time as the president president.

Nigel (4:13)

Can you believe it?

Jason Hammer (4:14)

Every time I hear somebody talking about the biggest problems with terror, I go back to the old Norm McDonald joke where he talks about how haunted houses are really the biggest problem with terror. Their whole business model is terror trying to scare you like he does this five minute bit about how if you're really serious about the war on terror, start blowing up some haunted houses.

Nigel (4:37)

I just sent you a link, by the way, just a side note. There's a new Norm McDonald documentary coming out on Netflix in October. It looks awesome.

Jason Hammer (4:46)

I mean, I will watch the bejesus out of it. President Trump talking about how he's got some decision-making to do.

SPEAKER_3 (4:55)

But I have a big decision to make. Will a deal be made with Iran that lets them rebuild and create a far greater country than it ever was before?
