It's October 19th, from the locker room to your ears. This is New York Rangers News Today, powered by AI. I'm Corey with the story.

All right, so we got some straight talk for Mika Zibanejad on the Rangers power play. He's keeping it simple, just get their swag back. The team's currently tied for 17th in the NHL with a 20% success rate, scoring six power play goals over 10 games. They've only managed one goal in the last three games, so obviously, they need to step it up. On Saturday, things got a little rough when they failed to convert on three consecutive power play chances in the third period of a scoreless game. That's a tough look, especially when they lost to the Columbus Blue Jackets in overtime, one nothing. They've got a strong squad, so they gotta figure this out fast. Zibanejad emphasized the importance of competence to turn things around. He thinks if they can just see a couple of pucks hit the net, it'll boost their energy. That vibe is everything in the game, you know?

It's about feeling good out there, so each decision clicks. They're keeping their top power play unit intact for tonight's game against the Anaheim Ducks. Zibanejad, Adam Fox, Pavel Dorofyev, JT Miller, and Alexis Lafernier are all set to get another shot. They're mixing things up a bit with the lineup, hoping that fresh look will spark some action. With all that talent on the ice, it's clear the Rangers can't stay dormant for too long.

No reason to freak out, but they definitely need to ignite that power play and get back in the groove. Let's see how they do tonight.
