It's October 5th. All right, so The New York Rangers are making some serious noise early in the 2026-27 NHL season. After a tough start with a loss to the Boston Bruins, they quickly bounced back. They took down the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-1 at home, and followed that with a 2-0 win against the Detroit Red Wings. Meanwhile, they kept the energy going with a 4-2 victory over the Utah Mammoth at Madison Square Garden. It's shaping up to be quite the start for the Rangers, and it looks like the whole squad is contributing to this success.

Gotta love that teamwork, right?

Now let's talk about those impressive point streaks. Six Rangers players are currently on a roll, with goalie Igor Shesterkin making some stellar saves and even scoring a goal in the process. That's a big deal for a goalie. He's not just stopping shots, he's getting involved on offense, too. Defenseman Adam Fox is on a three-game point streak, racking up four assists while winger Gabe Perreault is matching that with two goals and an assist. Fox really elevates the team with his solid play, and Perreault looks like he's living up to all that offseason hype. As they gear up for a matchup against the New York Islanders on October 6th, all six of those players will be looking to keep their streaks alive. This kind of momentum is huge moving forward, so I'm excited to see how they perform. That's the story for today. New York Rangers News Today, driven by AI.
