It's October 17th.

Okay, big one today for the Rangers, as they gear up to face the Blue Jackets. Alexis Lafrenière is on fire, recording at least one point in six straight games, with seven goals and four assists during this streak. He's tied for third in the league for goals and leads the Rangers in points. That's a big deal. Then there's Adam Fox, who's been racking up the assists, nine in his first nine games. He's the first Rangers defenseman to hit that mark since Brian Leach back in 2001

He's currently tied for second among NHL defensemen in assists. That's a elite production from the Blue Line. Dylan Garand is also making waves, winning three of his four starts this season and earning points in six of his seven career games. He's tied a franchise record for the fewest starts needed to get to five wins. That kind of experience is huge for a rookie goaltender. And Mika Zibanejad is not to be overlooked.

He's got eight points in nine games, sitting just three points shy of entering the top ten in Rangers franchise history. His short-handed goals total is climbing two, tying him for fourth all time in Rangers history. Gotta love those clutch plays. So yeah, the Rangers are coming in hot, and it'll be interesting to see how they keep this momentum going against the Blue Jackets. They're stacking up points and records, and every game counts.
