Today is October 9th. All right, big news from the New York Rangers. They're off to a hot start this season, winning four out of their first five games. It's a major turnaround compared to last year's struggles, and you can feel the difference on and off the ice. Then there's coach Mike Sullivan, who's confident about this season. He says stacking those early wins builds real confidence in the team. That enthusiasm?

It's apparent both on the bench and in the way they perform during games. Definitely a good vibe around the squad. On top of that, their approach is noticeably tougher this year. Opponents seem to feel that mental strength, too. Defenseman Braden Schneider commented on the positive energy, especially coming off a strong start at home. Clearly, they're riding a wave of good feelings right now.

But, you got to remember, it's still really early in the season.

Just two years ago, they started strong but ended up missing the playoffs after a tough collapse.

That team had serious issues off the ice, but this year's roster is a mix of youth and experience, making it a different vibe altogether. So, it's a promising start for the Rangers, but they'll need to keep that energy and focus as the season rolls on. The pressure will surely rise, and it'll be interesting to see if they can hold on to that confidence when challenges come their way. That's the story for today.
