Today is October 12th. Alright, let's talk about the NY Rangers and their incredible turnaround at home this season compared to last. This year's got a different vibe. They started off the 2016-27 season with a perfect record at Madison Square Garden, going 4-0.

That's a huge shift from last season's struggles. Last year was brutal for the Rangers at home. They lost their first seven games on home ice. Ouch. After a long wait, they finally snagged their first win on November 10th against the Nashville Predators. But man, during that stretch, they were getting outscored 26-12.

Just rough times at the Garden. So far this season, they're looking sharp. The Rangers have scored 20 goals and allowed just seven at home, not letting opponents score more than two in any game. Even with Igor Schuster can out for the season, they're averaging five goals a game. That's some serious firepower you don't want to overlook. Looking back, we know home success can lead to big things. In the 2023-24 season, they racked up 30 wins at home and took home the President's Trophy.

If they maintain this hot streak, they could be heading back to the playoffs.

Fans gotta feel that excitement. Coming up, they've got some tough matchups against teams like the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Edmonton Oilers. These next few weeks will be key to see if this home dominance can stick. So definitely keep an eye on how they handle the pressure. That's the story for today.
