It's October 5th. From the locker room to your ears, this is New York Rangers News Today, powered by AI. I'm Corey with the story.

Alright, big win for the New York Rangers this past Sunday. They took down the Utah Mammoth, making it their third straight victory and second in a row at home. That kind of momentum is huge for a team that didn't perform well last season. Coming into the year, expectations were high for New York after a big summer overhaul. They were aggressive in the offseason, and so far, those moves are paying off on the ice. Looks like they've really got a shot at being playoff contenders. Head Coach Mike Sullivan shook things up a bit with the second line recently. Tye Kartye moved up while Oliver Bjorkstrand dropped down to the fourth line. That trio of JT.

Miller, Pavel Dorofeyev, and Kartye look strong, racking up an XGF percent of 79.2% during their time on the ice together. That's what you want to see.

Dorofeyev stood out in particular.

He didn't score this time, but he did snag an assist and led the line with that high XGF percent. Miller finally got his first goal of the season too. It's always nice when the lines still like that, right? Overall, it's a solid start for the Rangers. They've got a lot working in their favor as they prep to take on the New York Islanders on Tuesday. Four straight wins? That would definitely set the tone for the rest of the season.
