It's October 9th, this is New York Rangers News Today, your AI-powered team coverage.

All right, so the Rangers are back at it, heading to Washington DC to take on the Capitals tomorrow night at 7 PM.

They're riding a four-game win streak, which is the longest in the NHL right now. That's a solid start to the season. Now check this out, the blue shirts have either led or been tied after 14 out of 15 periods played this season. They haven't trailed at all to start a period yet, marking the third longest run in team history.

That's pretty impressive. On top of that, they've got this wild streak going where they haven't allowed a single first-period goal in their first five games. It's their best run in that department since 1939 Gotta love that defensive strength. Plus, New York is tied for the league lead with eight points and four wins. Their stats are really something. They rank second with a mere 1.6 goals against per game and have made a lot of plays with 22 takeaways and 13 five hits. That's how you control the game. So, with the youngest roster in the league and that kind of performance so far, the Rangers look ready to keep the momentum going. Should be a good match up against the Capitals.
