Rangers' Garand and Raddysh Avoid Claims | New York Rangers News

Today is September 28th. Alright, so the New York Rangers are breeding a sigh of relief today. Goalie Dylan Garand and forward Taylor Raddysh both cleared waivers. That means they'll stick with the team as they finalize their roster for the coming season.

Garand had a solid debut in the NHL last year, winning 2 out of 3 starts with a stellar save percentage. Keeping him around is a big win for their goaltending depth. They really couldn't afford to lose him with Spencer Martin as the backup behind Igor Shesterkin.

Then there's Raddysh, who gives the Rangers a seasoned AHL option if injuries hit. He played 68 games last season and had a decent output. His plus minus was tied for the best on the team. That kind of experience is huge when you need depth. Also, it's worth noting that the Rangers only lost one player today, defenseman William Trudeau, who got claimed by the Nashville Predators. So keeping Garand and Raddysh is just icing on the cake. Overall, things are looking good as they head into the season.

With some promising young talent in Hartford, like Liam Grentree and Cole Bodewin, there's a lot to be excited about for Rangers fans. Team coverage, powered by AI, this is New York Rangers News Today. I'm Corey with the story.
