It's October 19th. This is New York Rangers News Today, powered by AI Everything happening with your team. I'm Corey with the story. Okay, big news for Rangers fans. The New York Rangers just kept their perfect streak going at Madison Square Garden, taking down the Anaheim Ducks 5-2.

Dylan Garand was a wall in net, making 28 saves, and Oliver Bjorkstrand found the back of the net twice. That's a solid win against a tired team.

Then there's Sean Durzi, who put the Rangers ahead just over a minute into the game. The Ducks were dealing with serious travel issues, arriving late and looking sluggish. The Rangers wasted no time capitalizing on that, which is key when you're trying to dominate at home.

In the second period, they really broke it open, scoring 3 goals in a span of just 836

JT, Miller, Gay Perot and Bjorkstrand each found the net to give New York a commanding lead. That kind of offensive pressure is huge, especially when you've got the crowd behind you. Garand almost had his second shutout but was beaten late in the game, which wasn't a great look. Still, he's been playing solid since that tough game against New Jersey. It seems like he's getting back on track, and that's promising for the Rangers moving forward. So the Rangers improved to 6-0 at home, matching an impressive start from the 1983-84 season. They've got a couple days off before heading to Canada for a road trip, and it'll be interesting to see if they can keep that momentum going when they hit the ice away from home.
