Today is September 30th. Alright, so the New York Rangers kicked off their season last night in Boston, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell to the Bruins, finishing the game with a score of 3-zip. Not the ideal opener, but hey, it's just the beginning. The Rangers' new roster had a rough time finding their rhythm. With the shorter offseason, they weren't exactly sharp on the ice. It's expected to take some time for them to gel, especially with fresh faces in key spots. Got to remember, it's all about building that chemistry. The first period was pretty quiet, but the Bruins were showing some nice momentum early on in the second. New York managed to hold it together, thanks to Igor Shesterkin's strong performance and goal.

He kept the game scoreless after two periods, which was actually impressive given the circumstances.

But the third period is where things fell apart for the Rangers. They started strong, but then a couple mistakes cost them. The Bruins took advantage, scoring two quick goals and not looking back.

So yeah, that one really slipped away from New York in the last minutes.

Next up, the Rangers will get a day to regroup before they hit the ice again for their home opener against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday night. Let's see if they can bounce back and turn things around. That's the story for today. New York Rangers News Today, driven by AI.
