It's October 16th. All right, folks, the Rangers took a serious hit in their latest game against the Devils, falling 7-1. Captain JT. Miller didn't hold back on his feelings after that crushing loss.

It's tough to see them struggle like that, especially after a solid start to the season. Miller mentioned they got off to a decent beginning, but quickly unraveled. New Jersey struck fast, scoring four goals in just over five minutes. You really can't let that happen, right? That shift in momentum is a killer.

He pointed out that his own turnover late in the first period was a turning point. That led to a late goal by Evan Rodriguez. Miller also noted they had some solid chances early on. Things were looking good until that mistake. Just goes to show how one lapse can change everything. The second period was no better for the Rangers. New Jersey capitalized on their errors with Luke Hughes scoring twice. Their rookie goalie Dylan Garand allowed four goals on 13 shots before he was replaced. Not ideal at all and that pressure can really wear a team down.

But listen, Miller is staying optimistic despite this setback. He stressed the need for the team to learn and move on from his loss. They're gearing up for their next game against the Columbus Blue Jackets and hopefully they'll come out firing this time.

We'll see how they bounce back. You've been listening to New York Rangers News Today, AI powered team coverage.
