Today is October 17th. This is New York Rangers News Today, AI powered updates on your team. I'm Corey with the story. Alright, so big game for the New York Rangers coming up. They're looking to bounce back after a rough outing against the New Jersey Devils, where they took a serious hit with a 7-1 loss. That's got a sting for a team that started strong before crumbling like that. Then there's goalie Dylan Garand, who got pulled early in the last game after giving up four goals on just 13 shots. Not the best look after he had been on fire in his first four starts. Defenseman Adam Fox stepped up, saying Garand's mental toughness is key.

That kind of support means a lot when you're trying to shake off a tough performance. The Rangers are hitting the road for this next matchup against the Columbus Blue Jackets. New York usually thrives on the road, winning over 20 games each of the last five seasons. But right now, they're struggling with a 1-3 record away from home. Definitely not what you'd expect. Meanwhile, the Blue Jackets aren't in much better shape, sitting near the bottom of the league with some shaky defensive stats. Their penalty kill is struggling big time, sitting at just 61.1%.

You know the Rangers' power play is ready to seize that opportunity when they hit the ice.

So, the Rangers need to prove they're still contenders while the Blue Jackets aim to turn their season around. It's all set to go down Saturday evening at Nationwide Arena, and you can catch it on MSG. Should be an interesting matchup for both squads.
