Today is October 4th. This is New York Rangers News Today, AI-powered updates on your team. I'm Corey with the story. Alright, big game coming up for the New York Rangers. They're set to face off against the Utah Mammoth on Sunday, October 4th at 6 PM Eastern. It's all happening at Madison Square Garden, and you can catch the action live on MSG.

The Rangers are rolling in with a two-game winning streak after just sweeping back-to-back matchups. It's clear they're looking to keep that momentum going.

A win against the Mammoth would definitely help solidify their strong start this season. On the flip side, the Mammoth are off to a perfect two-and-oh start, but just played the Columbus Blue Jackets the night before. Catching them on the second half of a back-to-back could give the Rangers a strategic edge. This feels like a prime opportunity to grab that third straight win. We'll also see some line adjustments for the Rangers, with Tye Kartey moving up to the second line. Meanwhile, goalie Igor Shesterkin is back in the net after an impressive performance that included an incredible goalie goal marking a franchise first. You know he's hyped for this one. And let's not forget Vincent Trocheck's return to MSG since his trade. The crowd's going to show him some love, for sure.

With the Islanders on deck next Tuesday, the Rangers are in a great spot to build that early season confidence.
