Welcome back to the Podcast That Rocks weekly podcast. It talks about news in the world of rock, metal, alternative, and everything in between. My name is Luke.

Alex (0:17)

My name is Alex.

Luke Spencer (0:18)

Thank you so much for tuning in to us on this Wednesday, September 9th. For those of you wondering, we are going to do our best to end the podcast before half time with Soundgarden.

At the NFL. Yes, we understand it's opening weekend for or opening week for the NFL season, but it's definitely opening the right way with Soundgarden featuring Taylor Momsen, Pearl Jam members, and potentially more surprises. Who knows? Whatever, whatever.

Alex (0:45)

All I heard was blah, blah, blah, sports, blah, blah, blah, Soundgarden, Taylor Momsen.

Luke Spencer (0:52)

So blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, Taylor Momsen, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I'm just going to do a whole podcast of that. Thank you all so much for checking out Rocked Radio as well as we are going into week two now of its existence publicly. Thank you all for all the feedback so far as well.

I would say 99% positive.

With 1% being New Music Night, I had some like cutoffs that were my faults. So that is not on the program director, that is on the New Music Night host. Thank you very much. So other than that, thank you guys so much for checking things out. We will get to stories we have. We have a range. We will be opening up with Andy Williams when we get to it in just a moment, because that is a shock and a loss. But we have a range of good, bad, ridiculous, funny, awful, stupid, and oh, that's nice. It's all over the place this week. I don't know how else to describe it. So thank you guys so much. Hope you're all doing well. 50 likes, at least one round of Festival Rocker Flop.

Last week was solid. We had some crap. We had Kid Rock pop up and ruin things, but we rebounded. We rebounded. We rebounded.

Alex (2:00)

Yeah. So. We made the best of a crappy situation.

Luke Spencer (2:03)

We did. And also all the ones we hit last week have been moved to a folder so they won't be landed on.

Huh, okay. Let me share my screen with my friend. Thank you all again for hanging with us. Tell your friends, hit the like button. Do all the things YouTubers tell you to do. Subscribe, leave comments, leave emotes, hit the share button.

Click other video links. I'm doing all this so that way YouTube goes, oh, he said all the things. We have to push this video now.

Alex (2:34)

What do they say? Smash that like button.

Luke Spencer (2:36)

We're going back like a decade from now if we're doing it that way.

Alex (2:39)

Uh-huh. I'm trying to get the buzzword.

Luke Spencer (2:41)

Smash that like button. Yeah, that was a big thing like 10 years ago when YouTube was like new creators were getting bigger and stuff.

Alex (2:48)

Yeah.

Luke Spencer (2:49)

Hey, kids, smash that like button like they would say hey, kids too.

Alex (2:56)

I don't know about that one. Yeah.

Luke Spencer (2:57)

So for those of you who are not aware, we lost in a shocking way, unfortunately, another member of the heavy music community with Andy Williams. For those into heavy music, he was one of the members of Every Time I Die, longtime member, solid contributor, big part in music. For those who are wrestling fans, he was also known as The Butcher in AEW. Wrestling, I think his last performance with AEW was in 2025

I have to play this muted. I can only play a few seconds. Here's him coming out, having fun, pointing to him with that big bushy mustache.

He was such a force in multiple fields, and the biggest things he was a part of, he went really far. It's extremely rare to be in a big band like that, in the hardcore scene, and have big presence and get on national TV every week, after Every Time I Die kind of unceremoniously folded. So, I don't know, Alex, I don't know your familiarity with Every Time I Die. I'm assuming your familiarity with AEW is less so.

Alex (4:06)

You would assume correctly.

Luke Spencer (4:07)

Okay, at least with the wrestling, with the wrestles.

Alex (4:10)

Yeah.

Luke Spencer (4:11)

The tributes and messages and everything have been pouring in.

The unanimous statement. This man was the scariest looking teddy bear you ever saw in your life.

That is how it was. He was the nicest guy. If you're into the Hardlore podcast, for those who are a bo-looters passed away last year, they just released two days ago a re-release when they interviewed Andy Williams about Every Time I Die, AEW, Music Wrestling. It's worth watching because they re-uploaded it to their channel just two days ago. Seeing them talk about what they love, and that's the type of guy this was, you look at him and you think he's going to kill me. But then you talk to him and he's the nicest guy, and he wants everyone to be happy, and he wants to share the things he's happy with. I hope people think that about me, like that I'm not the curmudgeon everyone online thinks I am.
