President Trump, though, was asked about the rise of these Democrat socialists. And he wants to make one thing perfectly clear.
That's just branding. He calls them what they really are.

**Donald Trump** (0:14)
Because it's not socialism, it's really communism. They use the word social democrat because it sounds so nice, but it's really communism you're talking about. I think it's the biggest threat to our nation.
There is, maybe since our founding, that includes World War I, World War II, September 11th, it includes the Pearl Harbor attack. I think this is the biggest threat to our nation. People will smile when I say that, but the smart people are going to say, you know, he's probably right. It's basically introducing communism into the United States of America. There's never been anything so dangerous.

**SPEAKER_1** (0:53)
So, Jerry, as our resident socialist communist expert, where your family fled Cuba because of said reasons here, do you buy President Trump saying, yeah, this threat here of what these guys want to do, it's greater than terrorism. It's greater than 9-11 or anything like that.

**Jerry** (1:12)
Yeah. So I'm going to I just came up with this in my head randomly. So you have a you have a marriage, you have an argument, you have mom's side, you have dad's side. Then you have the side that's rooting for a divorce. The side that's rooting for divorce is the socialist, the communist, the like he said, the democratic socialist of America. There's nothing democratic about being socialist. Whether you're a liberal or a conservative, we have more in tune together. We want to save this country. Democrats want to tear the whole thing down.
Or socialist, excuse me, want to tear the whole thing down.

**SPEAKER_1** (1:43)
Right. So this is a little civil war that the Democrats are going to have to fight.

**Jerry** (1:48)
Yes.

**SPEAKER_1** (1:49)
Now, for a while, people wanted to pigeonhole that fight on the conservative side of the establishment squish and then the MAGA folks. Right. You got the Mike Pence style of Republican, the Paul Ryan style of Republican. And then you've got the, you know, Donald Trump style of Republican. But I think this is way more extreme than anything the Republicans have gone through.

**Jerry** (2:13)
I couldn't couldn't agree more with that. The MAGA conservatives and the and the and the Greg Pence Republicans have a lot more in common. You may disagree on one or two things, maybe the verbiage or the messaging. When it comes to socialist communism, Marxists, Democrats and conservatives have way more in common than any of us have to do with them.

**SPEAKER_1** (2:33)
It does seem a little over the top, though, when you start comparing it to 9-11, when you start comparing things to Pearl Harbor. Like if Kamala Harris were to say that, we will laugh at them.
Because Kamala Harris compared January 6th to those things, and we laughed at them. I'm on the record of saying, I don't think this is the worst thing in the world if you're a conservative, because I don't think there's enough people out there for these lunatics to win a swing state election at a federal level with this line of thinking. So if you're somebody that's voting on the right, a Republican, a conservative, or somebody that just hates lunatics, I feel like as long as you go out and show up to vote, this is probably the best thing that could happen to you.

**Jerry** (3:20)
I understand where you're coming from, but now you have the mindset of a vet. I didn't fight for the country that I live in. I fought for my kids and my kids' kids and my kids' kids' kids to live in a free country. If we allow socialism to start to be normalized under Chris's or your grandkids' lives, how long is it before? We already have a Democratic Socialist on Indianapolis' City Council right now, currently, currently.
How long is it before we have one that runs for LG that maybe doesn't win, but but now it's more normalized. And here before too long, you have an actual look at Mom Donnie, dude. And the Democratic Socialists ran the incumbent Democrats out of the building. The Democrats have a huge problem on their hands right now.

**SPEAKER_1** (3:59)
And I get that. And I think it's the long game, right? Maybe not in the next presidential election or maybe not even, you know, the one after that. But if you start laying the groundwork, I see where you're coming from. But as of right now, I've got faith that the swing states like Pennsylvania, like Wisconsin, like Michigan, like Georgia, while they've got pockets of places that would vote for these lunatics, you know, Atlanta, Milwaukee or whatnot statewide, I don't think they can pull it off. Like Jesse Brown, hell, he might run for mayor and win in Indianapolis, but he could not win the governor's race because it's a statewide race.
