Prepare the Way Part 3

SPEAKER_1 (0:01)

Welcome to the Teaching Ministry of Jubilee Church International. Jubilee is devoted to making disciples, winning the loss to Christ, building strong families, and taking the gospel to the nations.

Open your Bibles and join us as the presence of the Holy Spirit helps us to grow a little deeper.

SPEAKER_2 (0:28)

I mean, you believe that there is power in the Word of God.

SPEAKER_3 (0:35)

If you don't...

SPEAKER_2 (0:37)

Check your breath. Because the reason you're breathing is because of the power of the Word of God.

SPEAKER_1 (0:44)

That's right.

SPEAKER_2 (0:46)

If you were able to get out of bed this morning.

It's because of the power of the Word of God.

If you got up this morning, you looked outside, and the sun was shining again another day. It's because of the power of the Word of God. The Bible says that all things are sustained by the power of the Word of God, that all things are held together by the power of the Word of God. And so, in your life, I've always said, well, okay, if that word be true, that all things are held together. I mean the rotation of the planets, the stars in the heavens, everything that holds things together in order is because of the power of the very Word of God. If that be true, if there is chaos in my life, it's because the power of the Word of God is not being allowed to take effect in my life.

SPEAKER_4 (1:49)

Did y'all get that?

SPEAKER_5 (1:54)

If the power is in the Word, and the Word is not in my heart and in my mind.

SPEAKER_2 (2:04)

David said it this way in Psalms 119

SPEAKER_5 (2:08)

I have stored up your Word in my heart that I may not sin against you, that the flesh may not have power in my life, but your Word has power over the flesh in my life.

SPEAKER_2 (2:26)

Isaiah said he keeps him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you. You keep him in perfect peace.

SPEAKER_5 (2:40)

Why?

SPEAKER_3 (2:40)

Because of the Word of God.

SPEAKER_2 (2:45)

Now, if all you do is give a cursory reading to the Word, a scripture on a Facebook post here and there, you are not hiding the Word of God in your heart.

SPEAKER_6 (2:57)

You are not putting the Word of God on your mind.

SPEAKER_2 (3:02)

When David says that I will meditate upon your Word day and night, It's the word haggah, and it doesn't mean ummmmm.

SPEAKER_7 (3:15)

Psalms 119, number 5

SPEAKER_2 (3:20)

I'm from 1911, I don't know what they say, but I'm...

SPEAKER_6 (3:25)

That's not meditating on the word.

SPEAKER_2 (3:29)

Meditating on his word, it says, you keep him in perfect peace.

SPEAKER_7 (3:35)

Let me think about that, God.

SPEAKER_8 (3:36)

What is your perfect peace?

SPEAKER_5 (3:38)

Because I know right now my my peace...

SPEAKER_2 (3:40)

ain't very perfect. But your peace, now how do I get to your perfect peace?

SPEAKER_5 (3:44)

You keep him in perfect peace, who is mine, my mind.

I know I love you with my heart, but am I loving you with all my thoughts? Am I loving you with the things that trigger my emotions? Am I loving you with the things that lead me into the struggles? Lord, am I loving you with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength?

SPEAKER_6 (4:09)

Meditate on His Word. We take that English word, and we just don't even get it.

SPEAKER_7 (4:18)

But David did.

SPEAKER_2 (4:21)

And it was that meditation upon the Word of God that was with him that gave him the power over the Philistine. It was that word that he was meditating on that gave him the power over the lion and the bear.

SPEAKER_6 (4:39)

It was the meditation of the Word of God.

SPEAKER_5 (4:44)

I can imagine Hananiah, Azariah, Messiel, Daniel, these guys, they ate the scrolls.

SPEAKER_7 (4:51)

They just, they fed on them.

SPEAKER_5 (4:53)

They fed on them. They fed on them. And that Word was the power that overcame the fear that they had the courage to walk right into the flame.

SPEAKER_2 (5:08)

Guys, they didn't have to be thrown in the flame.

SPEAKER_8 (5:11)

They walked into it.

SPEAKER_7 (5:14)

That's courage.

SPEAKER_2 (5:21)

That's not the courage of their flesh.

SPEAKER_7 (5:23)

That was the courage of their faith.

SPEAKER_8 (5:26)

Are you hearing me?

SPEAKER_6 (5:28)

Not the courage of their flesh, but the courage of their faith.

SPEAKER_7 (5:33)

That's powerful, guys. That's powerful.

SPEAKER_3 (5:39)

Romans 12.2 says, Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
