Welcome to the Total Soccer Show and our Premier League Predictions for the 26-27 season. This is our opportunity to give our thoughts on the Premier League Champion, the Top 5, the relegation candidates, the breakout stars, and so much more that will make us look foolish come May 2027 Here we go, my name's Ryan Bailey. Joining me today, Taylor Rockwell's here. Hi, Taylor, are you ready to do some predicting?

**Taylor Rockwell** (0:44)
I'm as ready as I'm ever going to be. I spent a lot, I was doing prep for this last night during bath time and bedtime for my daughters, and I realized how much of my work for them appears to just be me staring off into the distance squinting, because it was a lot of me squinting trying to figure out some of these teams and figuring out where I landed on them. And ultimately, I think I have squinted enough, but maybe there's more squinting to come.

**Ryan Bailey** (1:06)
Good, squint away as we go through the next 45 or so, Taylor. Very good indeed. Graham Ruffin, were you doing any squinting or just predicting?

**Graham Ruffin** (1:13)
Not so much squinting. I mean, I presume we're going to be doing some deleting after the first weekend of the Premier League season, right? This isn't actually going to be on the feed forever.
So, blusters better be quick. You've got until Monday to listen to this one. When we're all made to look like idiots when, I don't know, when Ipswich are going to win the title. They're going to do a Leicester City.

**Ryan Bailey** (1:34)
Yeah, there we go. Joe Larry, how are you? Whose idea was this? Was this your idea?

**Joseph Lowery** (1:39)
I think it was Graham's idea, maybe. I don't know. I'm just going to pass the buck on to Graham. It's just really a race to look the least foolish, right? I mean, everybody's going to look silly. It's just a question of to what degree are you going to look silly, and my aim is to look the least silliest of them all.

**Ryan Bailey** (1:54)
That's good. That's actually my life motto, to try and look the least silly in every day of my life.
It's a work in progress, Graham. It's a work in progress. I hope to get there one day. Probably not. Lots of predictions to come before we get there. I'm predicting that some of you might type patreon.com/totalsoccershow into your web browsers. You'll get a bonus content if you do so. Yeah, right? If you do that, you'll get a bonus episode, bonus video content, and access to our Discord server. Oh, Graham. Don't you love a Discord server? I do.

**Graham Ruffin** (2:29)
I do love a Discord server, particularly our Discord server, because in the space of about 10 minutes, I receive messages about Scottish teams' chances of European qualification, a kit, I believe, in the lower leagues in Eastern Europe somewhere, and then a chat about the new Villains land we're building in the Magic Kingdom in Orlando. So our Discord is a varied place, and I love it dearly.

**Ryan Bailey** (2:51)
A Villains land. All right, I want to get into that, but let's do it on the bonus feed, because that sounds like a bonus feed. Conversation, excellent stuff. patreon.com/totalsoccershow. Thank you to everybody who supports us via that medium. Let's get into our predictions, shall we? Why don't we start off strong, Taylor Rockwell, with our prediction for who is going to win the Premier League. We touched on this a little bit during our season predictions, which have been running all week, of course. You can check them out on the feed if you haven't already.
I think, Taylor, I think we kind of agreed it's hard to see past Arsenal at this point, who are strong favourites. You've got the consistency with the coach and consistency with many other facets of their team. How are we feeling? Is it Arsenal's to lose here?

**Taylor Rockwell** (3:31)
It is for me. I think they are the most likely team to win the title. I think they're pretty likely to retain it because they've already done it the one time. So that type of pressure is off of them. I think you can make arguments for like, do they have enough coverage here or have they over-invested there, or do they have a like for like player in that spot? But like that feels very nitpicky. It feels like pulling it, like clutching it straws or whatever.
Because in reality, it just feels like they are a very established team with a lot of talent, like a strong coach who's been there and understands the team. And I think with so much flux in the rest of the league, it feels like they are naturally in position, then they're retaining, then they've strengthened. It just sort of feels like it's going to be difficult for anybody to get really even close to them this season for me.
