This story, I think, is the biggest story in the country right now. The explosive drone terror attack destined for UFC Freedom 250 on the White House South Lawn, thwarted by the FBI. Multiple suspects now in custody. First of all, did you watch? Were you able to take in any of that UFC fight over the weekend?
**SPEAKER_2** (0:25)
I just saw clips of it.
**Nigel** (0:26)
Clips of it.
**SPEAKER_2** (0:27)
Yeah, but what I saw looked like a major event, big deal. A lot of production going on, and it was fun to see.
**Nigel** (0:35)
It was fun to watch.
**SPEAKER_2** (0:36)
But man, the preparation and the planning that went into this terror attack on this event that was, thank God, foiled by the FBI. This was a big, big deal. A lot of people, a lot of moving pieces, a lot of armament. I mean, this was a big damn deal.
**Nigel** (0:54)
They're calling it a multi-phase attack involving explosive-laden drone aircraft. And when I say drones, you know, when I say drones, it's like, you think back 10, 12 years ago, 15 years ago to even 20 years ago about the Predator drones that look like airplanes that are flying 30,000 feet above Afghanistan, taking out tiny little targets.
That's not what we're dealing with modern day when we say drones. It's like the kind of thing you could buy at Kmart. Am I dating myself by saying Kmart? Maybe I should have said Walmart instead.
**SPEAKER_2** (1:36)
Or online at Amazon. And no, you're completely, absolutely right.
And listen, I'm sure you've seen a lot of the same video I have coming out of the Ukraine.
**Nigel** (1:46)
Yes.
**SPEAKER_2** (1:47)
Where the Ukrainians and the Russians have taken drone technology as far as using that in warfare to places that none of us ever envisioned, certainly none of us on the civilian side ever envisioned. And now, absolutely, you put an IED, an improvised explosive device on one of these things that explodes on contact and fly it where you want to fly it. None of that's hard from a technological perspective. That's the easy thing to do.
**Nigel** (2:16)
And these drones are no bigger than my portion of this, my desk right here.
**SPEAKER_2** (2:22)
That's right. They can fit in a briefcase.
**Nigel** (2:23)
Or a computer are smaller than that even. And so we're talking about the kind of drones that you can buy.
Like you said, on Amazon, it was supposed to be a multi-phase attack. These drones with explosives striking buildings of the vicinity of the UFC Freedom 250, not necessarily diving into the crowd. I'm sure they had protocol for that. I'm sure there was protection. But what it would have done is spark mass panic, driving fleeing crowds towards a sniper team poised to pick them off is what is what Fox News was reporting. They were the first to report on this today. So a distraction designed to cause 4500 people, possibly more, to flee and mass evacuate. And where they were going to mass evacuate from, there will be snipers picking people off. That is very, to me, the planning of this is like October 7th-ish in Israel. You know what I mean? Like, I mean, without the paragliders, but with drones.
**SPEAKER_2** (3:34)
I think it's a great analogy. And the level of preparation, as I say, is scary.
Yeah, they had these sniper nests location identified.
**Nigel** (3:43)
A second wave, I guess, is what you would call it.
**SPEAKER_2** (3:45)
Yes.
And then to even be able to pick off not only panicked, fleeing civilians, who were their real targets, they talked about billionaires and people who supported Israel through the administration or through non-governmental entities. But the number of armaments that they had prepared, the amount of ammunition that they had, all of that means these people were potentially going to be capable of inflicting an amazing number of casualties.
**Nigel** (4:15)
I don't have, we don't have information as to, you know, were these Americans, were these people in illegally, were they here on visas, things like that. We don't have any of that information. What we do know is that possible motives, like you said, for this assault would have been to target capitalist elites, people donating to Israeli causes, billionaires. Here is the vice president of the United States, JD. Vance, earlier this morning, I believe on Fox News when he was finding out about this for the first time.
**JD Vance** (4:53)
This is a very, very dark stuff. And unfortunately, we're talking about this a little bit off camera, but this is what happens when people turn the rhetoric up so loud that disagreeing with somebody is a cause for violence. That's the place that we've come to, unfortunately, with too much of our political rhetoric. We got to tell everybody to tone it down. And I hate to say this, but it's true.
