Okay, my friends, before we get into today's story, I wanted to let you know about Spotify for podcasters. It's the tool that I'm using to make my stories, so that you guys can have new stories every day.
If you are interested in sharing your stories, you've got to check it out. It's a really easy app. You can create your stories, you can edit them from your phone or your computer. So no matter what your setup is like, you can start creating without having to go to a studio or do anything extra. They'll actually do all of your distribution for you too. So that part's really nice.
And the best part, it's totally free. You don't have to pay for it. So you can get your stories out. I really enjoyed doing it. I've been at it for almost, gosh, going on three and a half years now. And because I could have questions and answers from my friends who are listening, I get to know what your thoughts are too. It's a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy me.

**Lisa Bueno** (1:00)
Okay, so today we are reading a little golden book called Pokémon, A Friend Like Pikachu. And Pikachu is on the cover and he is so cute.

**Lisa Bueno** (1:15)
Look at his little ears.

**Lisa Bueno** (1:17)
And it's read today by Mommy. Oh, well, maybe you can describe what he looks like.

**Philip** (1:23)
He's yellow and he has two round strips on his back and brown to connect his yellow tail that kind of looks like a hammer. And his black toppings on his ears.

**Lisa Bueno** (1:51)
Yeah, that's about it.

**Philip** (1:52)
He's fully yellow.

**Lisa Bueno** (1:57)
Yeah, he is a made up, pretend creature. He kind of looks like he might be some kind of rabbit or something, but he's magical. He has electric powers, right?
So let's read about him.
And it was written by Rachel Chablowski, and it's read today by Mommy and and Pokémon Explorer. And a Pokémon Explorer.

**Philip** (2:31)
Actually, a dog explorer that likes Pokémon.

**Lisa Bueno** (2:36)
Okay, you heard it here. All right, here we go.

**Philip** (2:40)
I love Pokémon.

**Lisa Bueno** (2:44)
Okay, I'm Ash and this is Pikachu. In the beginning, Pikachu wouldn't do anything I asked it to, but now we're best buddies and Pikachu helps me be a better Pokémon trainer. Oh, I see. So we have to train our Pokémon, just like we would train our pets like a dog or something like that.
Pikachu is tough like Bulbasaur. And we get to see a picture of Bulbasaur. He kind of looks like maybe a turtle with a plant growing on him.

**Philip** (3:21)
Maybe.

**Lisa Bueno** (3:21)
Oh, wait, no, I spoke too soon, because next to him is one that looks like a turtle. I don't know.

**Philip** (3:28)
Yeah, let's read it.

**Lisa Bueno** (3:32)
OK, so Pokémon is tough like Bulbasaur, fierce like Charmander, and fast like Squirtle. And we get to see all three of these creatures, Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle, who does look like a turtle.

**Philip** (3:50)
Actually, that guy is the same as this guy.

**Lisa Bueno** (3:59)
Oh yeah, Philip, sorry, Pokémon trainer, Philip has a Charmander in his pocket.

**Philip** (4:07)
In a Poké Ball.

**Lisa Bueno** (4:08)
In a Poké Ball. Pikachu is always by my side, fighting hard.
And then we get to see some more creatures. Oh, whoa, whoa. Have a sip of water. When your snacks go down the wrong tube, people, you got to drink some water. OK. Pikachu is loyal like Growlithe and dedicated like Jigglypuff. And we get to see those guys too.
Look at how cute and cuddly Pikachu and Tokopi are. Oh, they are really cute. Pikachu is clever like Meowth. It can outsmart Team Rocket again and again. And we know that Team Rocket are the bad guys, aren't they?

**Philip** (5:03)
Yes, and I like Team Rocket. You do?

**Lisa Bueno** (5:07)
Yeah, they're kind of silly. They try to do the wrong things, but they sometimes have the right reasons for trying to do the wrong things.

**Philip** (5:15)
Why? Well, I don't know.

**Lisa Bueno** (5:18)
Sometimes people try to find a shortcut to get stuff done, and that's not usually the right way, is it?

**Philip** (5:24)
That's how Dino feels.

**Lisa Bueno** (5:25)
Mm-hmm. Pikachu is caring like Blissey.
Pikachu is popular like Lillipup, the puppy Pokémon. Oh, my goodness. The puppy Pokémon is super cute. I wish we had one of those.

**Philip** (5:45)
We don't have one.

**Lisa Bueno** (5:50)
Winkle helps people find Pokémon, just like Pikachu helps me.
