Hello, and welcome to the PC Perspective Podcast. This is episode 886, being recorded on September 30, 2026 I'm Sebastian Peake.
Jeremy Holstrom (0:14)
I'm Jeremy Holstrom.
Sebastian Peake (0:17)
I'm Josh Walriff.
Brett Van Spermberg (0:19)
I'm Brett Van Spermberg.
Kent Burgess (0:21)
Surprise. And I'm Kent Burgess.
Sebastian Peake (0:25)
Did you forget your own name, or you're just so thrown by the fact that Josh isn't here?
Brett Van Spermberg (0:29)
So thrown by the fact that Josh is usually right here, so I'm waiting for the guy in this corner to talk.
Jeremy Holstrom (0:35)
You're gonna be waiting for a while.
Sebastian Peake (0:37)
Yeah, well, you could. We can cover-
Brett Van Spermberg (0:38)
That guy is totally mute.
Sebastian Peake (0:41)
We'll cover his territory here in this moment, because of course we're gonna talk about food, whether Josh is here or not.
Brett Van Spermberg (0:47)
Of course.
Sebastian Peake (0:47)
But we will get to some housekeeping first, and let's go to patreon.com/pcper. Let's go to the page right now live and contribute to this podcast, and let's go to the website, keeping us engaged, making us feel like we have to do this, and keeping us prisoner, tightening the rope, whatever the, I don't know what that expression is.
Brett Van Spermberg (1:11)
Yanking the chain. Sure, yeah.
Sebastian Peake (1:14)
Do you have any names to call out or no?
Brett Van Spermberg (1:16)
You know, I absolutely do, and I think it was Stacey that was actually calling us out for not mentioning people, so I wanted to do special emphasis on Stacey C.
Sebastian Peake (1:25)
Stacey C, Stacey C.
Brett Van Spermberg (1:29)
But if we need to stop mentioning Stacey C and move on to Yossi, I think it's Yossi S, Yossi Y-O-S-S-I, I guess that's how you pronounce Yossi, right?
Sebastian Peake (1:41)
Yeah, I don't know. Yossi?
Brett Van Spermberg (1:43)
But Yossi?
Sebastian Peake (1:44)
I mean.
Kent Burgess (1:45)
Yossi.
Brett Van Spermberg (1:46)
Yossi? That would more like have an S-H kind of phonetics to it, don't you think?
Sebastian Peake (1:52)
I'm not a linguistic expert, but.
Brett Van Spermberg (1:55)
I'll be honest.
Kent Burgess (1:56)
Yossi?
Brett Van Spermberg (1:57)
Yossi? That's Yossi S. And final high five to Jeff H. Thank you very much for.
Sebastian Peake (2:04)
Thanks, Jeff.
All right, let us move to the segment that just won't die. Josh isn't even here, and we're going to talk about food.
Brett Van Spermberg (2:15)
Wow, that's got staying power.
Sebastian Peake (2:16)
I thought that I could talk about my favorite brand of frozen tots, which is Lamb Weston, I think. But all you have to look for is the Grown in Idaho thing on the bag, which apparently just changed this new bag to confuse me at the store. But these are by far the best frozen tots I've ever had.
Tastes a lot better than the, what was the other brand? Comes in a red bag.
Kent Burgess (2:46)
Tater Tot?
Sebastian Peake (2:47)
Yeah, sure. But.
Kent Burgess (2:49)
Arita.
Sebastian Peake (2:50)
Arita, yes. These are better than Arita, in my opinion. A lot of restaurants use these too. So if you have tots at a restaurant, it very likely came from the Slam Western place, because they're a food service company.
Brett Van Spermberg (3:01)
Oh, well, yeah.
Sebastian Peake (3:05)
But that's not food with Josh for this week, because Josh actually did eat food and he posted a picture of it on social media, and he did not describe what this is. We can obviously tell that it's a burger with fries and coleslaw. It looks like a cheeseburger.
Kent Burgess (3:19)
Those are not hot.
Jeremy Holstrom (3:20)
It looks like perhaps a double.
Sebastian Peake (3:23)
Those are crinkle cut fries.
Kent Burgess (3:25)
Crinkle cut, yeah.
Sebastian Peake (3:26)
From frozen, possibly.
That is tomato ketchup. Now, can you tell from the color if that's Heinz or Huntz or something else? It's looking Heinz-y to me.
Brett Van Spermberg (3:35)
Yeah. It doesn't have that deep color.
Sebastian Peake (3:40)
Is that a slaw sign?
Kent Burgess (3:41)
It's the only ketchup.
Sebastian Peake (3:43)
Is that shrimp?
Kent Burgess (3:45)
Just tomato paste.
Sebastian Peake (3:47)
I agree. Heinz is the only correct ketchup.
Kent Burgess (3:51)
Is that a shrimp?
Brett Van Spermberg (3:53)
Is that a shrimp I see in that salad? A shrimp?
Sebastian Peake (3:55)
I hope not.
Brett Van Spermberg (3:56)
What is that in that bottom left-hand corner? What is that?
Sebastian Peake (3:59)
Bottom left-hand corner?
Jeremy Holstrom (4:00)
Carrot.
Brett Van Spermberg (4:00)
