Sebastian Peak (0:05)

Hello, and welcome to the PC Perspective Podcast. This is episode 885

I've waited two weeks to say that.

It's September 23, 2026 I'm Sebastian Peak.

Jeremy Hulstrom (0:18)

I remain Jeremy Hulstrom.

Josh Walroth (0:20)

I'm Josh Walroth.

Brett Van Spoonberg (0:22)

Still Brett Van Spoonberg.

Kent Burgess (0:24)

And I'm Kent Burgess.

Sebastian Peak (0:27)

Don't worry, I will turn up Brett's levels. I'm doing it right now.

Jeremy Hulstrom (0:31)

What? What?

Brett Van Spoonberg (0:32)

What is it? What?

Kent Burgess (0:33)

You're gonna make it too hot.

Sebastian Peak (0:34)

I turned it up. You don't need to turn it up too.

Brett Van Spoonberg (0:37)

Okay, I'm not. I'm not touching anything.

Sebastian Peak (0:40)

Josh is gonna turn down the phone notifications. Brett's mic is... Okay. Yes.

This is all staying in too. This is all staying in. I'm gonna drink some more of my zero sugar sprite. Not a sponsor by the way.

Brett Van Spoonberg (0:52)

Is that even caffeinated? I don't even think that's caffeinated.

Sebastian Peak (0:54)

No, it is not caffeinated. This is basically water.

Kent Burgess (0:58)

Is it?

Josh Walroth (0:58)

Is it crystal sprite?

Brett Van Spoonberg (1:01)

Josh, have I talked about my bold rock this evening?

Kent Burgess (1:05)

You're bold.

Sebastian Peak (1:07)

Everybody show off your drinks tonight.

Brett Van Spoonberg (1:09)

No, no, I'm good. This is fine.

Kent Burgess (1:10)

This is it.

Sebastian Peak (1:11)

This is this. Bold rock is a hard cider. It is.

Kent Burgess (1:16)

Hard.

Sebastian Peak (1:18)

Everyone gets to show off their drinks.

Brett Van Spoonberg (1:21)

Crystal Pepsi.

Jeremy Hulstrom (1:23)

He's got your caffeine. I've got a Zima in the cooler.

Sebastian Peak (1:29)

Viewers don't know I've secretly replaced my Sprite Zero with Crystal Palace.

Josh Walroth (1:33)

1987?

Brett Van Spoonberg (1:34)

From, I was going to say, 1989, about. Was that when you saw the Grateful Dead? Did you have the Zima in the parking lot?

Jeremy Hulstrom (1:42)

Of course.

Josh Walroth (1:43)

There's something different about this Zima. Yes.

Sebastian Peak (1:48)

You remember Boku? Richard Lewis did the commercials for it.

Brett Van Spoonberg (1:53)

Oh my gosh. Yes, I do remember this now.

Sebastian Peak (1:56)

That was right around the same time as Zima. I just had a memory there.

Josh Walroth (1:59)

Okay.

Sebastian Peak (1:59)

Moving to-

Jeremy Hulstrom (2:00)

Now it's a chocolate commercial, which is funny.

Sebastian Peak (2:02)

Our housekeeping section.

Josh Walroth (2:04)

Housekeeping.

Sebastian Peak (2:05)

We talked to you about, there's a website called patreon.com. Hola. It's similar to PayPal except instead of using it to buy things, you just send money directly to us. So we can keep podcasting. I really don't think it's that much like PayPal, but it could be.

I'm not on their board of directors. I really don't know how any of this stuff works. I just know that we log in and we see that you're contributing to us. And it makes us very, very happy.

Brett Van Spoonberg (2:31)

Sometimes we get messages from the folks in the-

Josh Walroth (2:33)

That's true. We do.

Brett Van Spoonberg (2:37)

In the old Patreon. You know what? Tonight is gonna be one of those, I want you to put sparkles by my hands with your name here in post. Just kind of throw that out there. Yep.

Jeremy Hulstrom (2:47)

So that's our-

Kent Burgess (2:49)

I don't know about sparkles, but I can do your name.

Brett Van Spoonberg (2:52)

Shower us with people's sparkles.

Sebastian Peak (2:54)

No.

Brett Van Spoonberg (2:55)

I don't know, but we do appreciate all our patrons and we would love to get personal messages from you on Patreon.

Josh Walroth (3:00)

Personal messages.

Sebastian Peak (3:02)

Not too personal.

Brett Van Spoonberg (3:04)

Somewhat.

Sebastian Peak (3:05)

Yeah.

Josh Walroth (3:06)

Do it.

Sebastian Peak (3:06)

I don't even know if there's a pictures option to send to us.

Brett Van Spoonberg (3:11)

You can use Sebastian's name when you say it.

Sebastian Peak (3:15)

Just add Sebastian Peake on Twitter slash X.

Josh Walroth (3:18)

Yeah, send him Richard Nixon pictures.

Sebastian Peak (3:19)

Send me all of your very personal messages.

Josh Walroth (3:21)

Richard Nixon pictures. All right. We all know what that means.

Sebastian Peak (3:27)

No AI generated though. I mean, I'll tell. I'll know.

Jeremy Hulstrom (3:31)

Only the real thing. We're thang.

Sebastian Peak (3:36)

Yes. Let's move past that delightful segment to food with Josh.

Josh Walroth (3:43)

Well, I went down and there was no burger special. I was kind of hoping for a burger special. Sometimes I'd like burger specials, but apparently there's going to be a spicy pastrami burger coming out with spicy Thousand Island dressing. How does that not sound bad? It doesn't. But today, I had to try one of the different tots. Yes, it's the Nashville hot chicken tots.
