And if so, where did they go? A few breaking news items.

German police yesterday arrested the former head of German intel on charges of espionage and treason, selling top secret documents to an enemy, an unnamed enemy. How does this happen?

Well, I mean, I just saw the news as you did, and it seems to me that the enemy is, of course, the enemy of choice. At the moment, which is Russia.

And I was looking at some German media after I saw the report in English, and it seems that they're suggesting that this gentleman in his, I guess, retirement, basically attended a conference in Russia where the allegation is that he was sharing classified information. I don't know where this goes beyond that, but this is a typical ploy that governments use to basically get back at people who are not towing the line on policy. And so I guess we'll see where it goes, but it sounds interesting, and it'd be interesting to see what is the classified information that they are alleging was revealed to an enemy or at least an adversary, and it seems that Russia would be the country of choice.
