But the one person that I think has escaped a lot of the shenanigans is Jarrett Lewis, our news anchor.
And I got to be honest, I don't think we have utilized Jarrett enough. I mean, hell, we used to have Stan Lear calling Nigel's mom for the love of God.

**Nigel** (0:48)
He pranked my mom almost to the point of tears.

**SPEAKER_1** (0:51)
We'll have to play that sometime soon.
But Jarrett, let's get to know Jarrett Lewis a little bit. Where did you go to school and everything, Jarrett?

**Jarrett Lewis** (1:00)
For college.

**SPEAKER_1** (1:01)
Yes.

**Jarrett Lewis** (1:01)
I went to Ball State.

**SPEAKER_1** (1:02)
Okay, who's your kid? Did you grow up in Indiana?

**Jarrett Lewis** (1:04)
Yes.

**SPEAKER_1** (1:04)
Where did you go to high school?

**Jarrett Lewis** (1:05)
I went to Eastern Hancock High School. It's about 40 minutes down the road from here going east.

**SPEAKER_1** (1:11)
Okay. And did you want to get into news or did you go for something else and discover news?

**Jarrett Lewis** (1:17)
Yeah, that's probably how I would describe it. I was more so a sports guy. I wanted to be a sports broadcaster, do games on the radio or on, you know, via live streams online, things like that, which I still get to do and have done for the past seven or eight years now, I suppose. But then, you know, figured out that there's a route with news and news is always happening. There's always stuff going on. And I typically will tell people it's, you know, I'm doing the same stuff every single day with new information. So that's what kind of makes it exciting.

**SPEAKER_1** (1:52)
And you've got a pretty big ass audience here.

**Jarrett Lewis** (1:54)
Yes, yes, of course.

**SPEAKER_1** (1:56)
Being the afternoon drive news anchor on this program on the powerhouse, that's WIBC, like people would kill for your job that are into news, you know?

**Jarrett Lewis** (2:05)
Yes, it's awesome. And when, you know, switching on to the afternoon shift has been quite fun. I've had some people text me or call me and they say, hey, I heard you on the afternoon with Hammer and Nigel. I'm like, yeah, this is the place to be. This is the show.

**SPEAKER_1** (2:19)
So you are very good at what you do. I told our bosses the other day, you have been a god sent to this program. Thank you for bringing your professionalism and not giving us crap.
Now, that being said, we're going to challenge you to do some beatboxing. Nigel gave you some. I gave you some. Allison gave the audience a little beatboxing. I think it's time for your time to shine, Jarrett.

**Jarrett Lewis** (2:45)
You know, now that you bring this up, I'm super busy. I mean, the newsroom is, the lines are full. People are calling it.
I got stuff to work on.

**Nigel** (2:56)
I think you could give us 10 seconds.

**SPEAKER_1** (2:58)
Yeah, just a little 10 seconds. It couldn't possibly be worse than what Nigel and I brought to the table.

**Jarrett Lewis** (3:04)
All right, let me massage my, get the gums working here. All right, here we go.

**SPEAKER_1** (3:14)
All right.
Let's go, Jarrett Lewis. Let's go, baby.

**Nigel** (3:18)
I love it. That wasn't bad.

**SPEAKER_1** (3:21)
Hell yeah.

**Nigel** (3:22)
I mean, I gotta say, it was better than Boots and Cats and Boots and Cats. It was better than Boots and Cats.

**SPEAKER_1** (3:28)
Allison, I want audio clips of all of this, and I'm going to make like a mega mix mashup and put some techno music behind it.

**Nigel** (3:40)
Ladies and gentlemen, The Hammer and Nigel Show is tuning in.

**SPEAKER_1** (3:44)
Mike Pence used to sit in this chair and deliver the news of the day.
And now we've got our news anchor giving us the Fat Boys beatbox. Jarrett, thank you, brother. We appreciate that.

**Jarrett Lewis** (3:54)
Thanks, boys.
