Nationwide is so much more than a great insurance company. They're one of America's largest financial services companies. Just like I'm so much more than quarterback Peyton Manning, I'm also Peyton Manning. Insurance and financial services together, it's a masterpiece.

Peyton Manning does it again. For your insurance and financial needs, Nationwide is on your side.

Mike Heck (0:57)

You're listening to the Vox Media Podcast Network.

All right, Mike Heck here from MMA Fighting and my good friend, Jed Meshew is here with me as well because Jed, the day has finally arrived. It's App Day, the all new SB Nation app. It's live now. It's live, Jed.

Jed Meshew (1:14)

It's alive. Yeah, man, I'm really excited and it's awesome, man. Combat Sports, like all sports, but Combat Sports fans especially. You guys are going to have your voices heard like never before within SB Nation. MMA Boxing, not me, but you, Pro Wrestling Mike.

It is a community-based app. It's all about community with the new SB Nation app.

Mike Heck (1:35)

It's so easy to use and it can keep, obviously, Combat Sports fans connected to their favorite teams and all of sports too across the board. So I can keep up with the Red Sox, the Celtics, the Patriots, and the Bruins, all on my phone and it's so simple to use.

Jed Meshew (1:49)

Yeah, like you mentioned those teams, but there's so much more because I don't care about Boston Sports, Mike, but I get to follow the NFL, all the other sport, F1, the various sports that I care about outside of Combat Sports.

And then there's the live experience because to me that's one of the coolest things. You can chat with us during Fight Cards every Saturday and you can chat with other people in the communities as big events are happening. So it's a really good time.

Mike Heck (2:16)

So, ladies and gentlemen, come fight with us over on the all new SB Nation app. Download it today. Download it right now. What are you waiting for? Download it.

Alexander K. Lee (2:43)

Hello. Hello, everyone. This is the voice of Alexander K. Lee. For On To The Next One, the MMA Fighting matchmaking show, this time following Noche UFC Quattro, Noche UFC 4

Normally, it would be Mike Heck doing this intro. Of course, our great host, my best friend. But Mike was off for the weekend. And if you didn't know why, I'll kind of reveal it later because I do have a message from someone involved in the great Mike Heck's absence. That's not a cryptic. Mike needs our help.

Jed Meshew (3:16)

Is Mike being ransom?

Alexander K. Lee (3:18)

Mike is being ransom. Thank goodness we have this public forum to use this. No, Mike is fine. Mike is fine. Mike took a few well-deserved days off to actually go help out.

How about On To The Next One listener?

I'm really juicing this up. And guys, that was the voice of Jed Meshew, my wonderful co-host for today. Jed, of course, is very familiar with the On To The Next One process. He's a fantastic producer, so there's no one I'd rather have on a Sunday recording this show. Jed, how are you?

Jed Meshew (3:44)

I'm doing this entire show under protest.

You know my feelings, AK, but the world can know the type of oppressor you are, the type of tyrant you are. The first Sunday of the NFL season, here I am working. There's a race going on, Kimi Antonelli pushing for the World Championship. Barcelona has just kicked off. I mean, they're going to probably put Levant to the torch. But still, all of these things and you asked this, this of me, and here we are.

Alexander K. Lee (4:16)

We should remind people that we work from home.

Jed is not in an office. I'm not even sure he's wearing-

Jed Meshew (4:21)

I'm in my office.

Alexander K. Lee (4:22)

I'm not even sure he's wearing pants right now. So before you send in your message of sympathy to Jed Meshew-

Jed Meshew (4:28)

There's no part of my job description that says I am required to wear pants. It's not.
