Oettinger Shines as Goalie Options Shift | New York Rangers News

Today is October 12th. All right, big goalie news for fantasy hockey managers. Jake Oettinger is on fire to start the season. He's got a 2-1-1 record with a whopping 9-6-3 save percentage and a 0.74 goals against average.

Oettinger even notched two shutouts last week, stopping 58 of 59 shots. That kind of performance is huge for any fantasy roster. Then there's Linus Ullmark, who's also been cooking. He won all three of his games last week and returned quickly from a minor injury. Ullmark stopped 54 of 57 shots over that stretch. And with four games this week, he could be a key player for your lineup. Gotta ride that hot hand, right?

On the flip side, Dan Vladar's been having a tough start. He lost all three of his first games, giving up 15 goals on 105 shots. Joseph Wohl hasn't scored a victory yet, but he's kept things competitive. The Flyers need more from Vladar if they want to turn it around. John Gibson's been struggling too.

After a solid first game, he's allowed at least 3 goals in his next 3 starts. His save percentage dropped to an 0.836. Daniil Tarasov may soon press him for more playing time, especially since the Red Wings have 3 home games this week. That'll be a situation to watch. So, with the season heating up, key pickups like Dylan Garand and Jacob Fowler are stepping up. Keep an eye on those waiver wires and be ready to make some changes as the schedule rolls on. It's all about playing the right matchups to come out on top.

That wraps New York Rangers News. Today brought to you with AI. I'm Corey with the story.
