Market moving insight and analysis. Join Jim Cramer, David Faber and me, Carl Quintanilla, on the opening bell hour of CNBC Squawk on the Street. Good Wednesday morning. Welcome to Squawk on the Street. I'm Carl Quintanilla with Jim Cramer at Post 9 of the New York Stock Exchange. Faber has the morning off. Stocks continue to look past the increasing tariff threats from the White House on pharma, on copper, on bricks. Got some pharma M&A on the tape today and a VIX flirting with a 15 handle for the first time since February. Our roadmap begins with the March to 4 trillion. Nvidia trading higher pre-market, set to top Apple's record market cap. Speaking of Apple, shaking up its C-suite in a major changing of the guard. And the president says at least 7 trade-related announcements are coming later on this morning. Let's begin with Nvidia's March toward a 4 trillion market cap. It finished yesterday's session with a valuation above 3.9 trillion. If the stock closes above 160.47, it would surpass Apple's record closing market cap. And speaking of Apple, the company did announce Jeff Williams is stepping down as COO later this month. He'll be succeeded by Operations Chief Sabi Khan. Williams will continue to oversee the Apple watch team until he retires later this year. A lot of discussions about how he was at one point a legit successor, potential successor. I'll tell you this, I mean, I got to meet him in a very candid moment. I spent some time and delightful guy and big think guy. And I think that they're the bench of big think is remarkable there. But I don't want to say he will be missed because he's still there for now. But he had the supply chain, but he really had a light touch. And I enjoyed him as I think many people at Apple do. A lot of people at Apple, people don't understand, have that kind of their convivial, they're really in touch with what you might want. And look, I think the guy's terrific. What am I going to say? I mean, I don't want to see anybody terrific leave or retire. Would he have been a successor? I don't know, because they've got so many people, I didn't know who was going to succeed. Luca Meister, the incredible CFO. Yes, who left earlier in the year. But I don't want to see any more turnover. Yeah, Morgan Stanley says, you know, we're not counting the days on Cook quite yet, but the youngest would-be successors remain, Craig Federighi, who runs software, and then John Turnus, who's only 50 and is SVP Hardware. They think a hardware background kind of helps here. Well, it's funny, hardware is part of the, I'm glad you mentioned hardware. Hardware is part of the issue of how Nvidia got to where it is. This is an exception. There's a belief in this, in many people on Wall Street and in Silicon Valley, that hardware prevails here because we're going to get rid of a huge number of people who would do SaaS, you know, software as a service. And that includes, yes, Salesforce includes ServiceNow, includes Datadog, which got out of the SMP. We don't, because there are going to be fewer and fewer people who need, who are actually in your organization who need that. But that does not mean that you would need more Apple. Maybe Apple would have more, this is amazing that it's just a personal, still not in the enterprise the way it should be. Great note today, Adam Elias. I loved it. By 2030, you won't need to know how to code or how to navigate a UI. Agents will do it. It came out at 643 and I immediately texted him and I just said, damn, again, your insight is just so good. And he just keeps telling me, listen, Jim, you like the Salesforce. It's going to be, you get on board. Well, get on board. I mean, trust owns broad company. I mean, you'd finish a new video. How much more can I be on board? But this is an accession of hardware and the enterprise software, guys. Well, we're tired of companies who enable you to look at your organization and look at the workflow. And we're going to get rid of a lot of people who do that. That's where AI is going to impact companies, is we don't need as many licenses. And these guys are due licenses. Now, back to Apple. Look, I know what people are thinking at Apple. One is that Dan Ives says perplexity is a no-brainer. Dan wants to be quoted by everybody. I think he wanted to be quoted by Musk. I really did. You mean told to shut up. Yeah, told to shut me. You probably say, yeah, I told to shut up. No, you want Musk to say, hey, that's a great idea and you're not going to get that. Which is what I thought he was going to say. I did too. Dan is more his career on liking Musk.
