What is up y'all? We are back for another edition of No Bets Barred. My name is Jed Meshew. I am your host. mmafighting.com, a terrific website. And we are here to answer one of life's most important questions. If a UFC happens in Serbia, will anybody care? That is right, ladies and gentlemen, this weekend, the UFC makes its debut in Serbia for UFC Belgrade, taking place at the Belgrade Arena in Belgrade, Serbia, headlined, and I cannot believe I am saying this, but by a welterweight main event between Uros Medic and Daniel Rodriguez. And so we are going to break down all the fights, well, not all of them, and we will speak some words about every fight. Breakdown might not be the appropriate terminology, though, given the number of debutantes and just straight up people I've never heard of on this card. I had to do research, took a while, because a lot of these people, I have never seen fist fight before. And thus, I have minimal things to say of value to you, the loyal listeners who I appreciate so much. Also, we will touch on the PFL New York card, because it's gonna come into play a little bit. Couple of very high profile fights, even if I think that card top to bottom is one of the PFL's weaker efforts in recent years.
But let's do a quick state of the union beforehand. I think the last program we did here was the Conor McGregor return. That was hysterical and fun, but we know that was weeks ago, we didn't need to talk about this. And as things currently sit, still down for the year, still about a unit down. Broke functionally, broke even last week, a slight win, but nothing to speak about. But the most important thing, the climb. We are eight steps up the mountain, ladies and gentlemen. Eight net 10, actually. This is the best run we've been on in some time. If you do not know what the climb is, the climb is my endeavor to string together 30 consecutive bets of minus 500 or better. There's a little wiggle room in there as we sort of play, but we have knocked down eight consecutive bets because last week, a couple of, we had to sweat a little bit. We had to sweat a little bit. Rizvon Kouniev, there was no sweat in that one almost at all, but the Thad Gene contest at PFL gave us a little bit of a sweat. Still, we made it through. We are sick, or sorry, eight steps up the mountain, but the bankroll is where we'd be at at 10 steps up the mountain. So very exciting stuff. And we have got one bet this week. We might have a second climb, but the options are not available to me at my book yet. I will tell you about that as we work through here. So, let's dive into this card. I don't know how long we'll go, because there are only a couple of fights that I'm really excited about from this UFC action. And one of them is the main event. Uros Medic versus Daniel Rodriguez.
Medic, a minus 400 betting favorite, the comeback on D-Rod, plus 300 Both men are riding into this on three-fight winstreaks. Medic most recently knocked out Jeff Neil at UFC Houston in February, the best one of his career. And D-Rod, coming off a unanimous decision win for Kevin Holland at UFC 318 in July of last year, that he probably won, but as I recall, was a much more competitive fight than a UD suggests.
