**SPEAKER_1** (0:00)
Am I tough enough?

**SPEAKER_2** (0:01)
Strong and stable leadership.

**SPEAKER_3** (0:02)
Total ruba.

**Albin** (0:03)
Hell yes, I'm tough enough.

**SPEAKER_2** (0:04)
Shut the fridge.

**Albin** (0:05)
Not another once.

**SPEAKER_1** (0:07)
It's the PoliticsJOE Podcast.

**Seán** (0:10)
Love podcasts, hate nonsense. No Keir Starmer today, of course.

**Albin** (0:17)
Well, he's in Ankara, isn't he?

**Seán** (0:18)
He is, he is. He's off talking about what money is going where when it comes to defense. Do you think it was interesting for him last night? Do you think with the...

**Albin** (0:28)
With the Farage news?

**Seán** (0:29)
Yeah.

**Albin** (0:30)
Well, he's being joined. He's being brought down with the man that brought him down.

**Seán** (0:34)
Because it's interesting, isn't it? So he's over there talking, you know, he's at this huge NATO summit. It's his final NATO summit. We've just had this massive defense package that's been announced and not fully costed. You've got a lot of pressure coming from other countries that will be there, you know, with who's going to pay what. We're all in the shadow of Donald Trump, who's threatening to, I don't know, turn the lights off because you're not paying your fair share over in Europe. Also, the US bombed the hell out of Iran yesterday, overnight.
And we're talking about Farage.

**Albin** (1:09)
Yeah.

**Seán** (1:10)
Do you know what's funny about it? It's almost like, do you know when you speak to parents and it's like, there's like one problem child and they often overshadow the other siblings because you're always having to deal with the problem child.

**Albin** (1:23)
Farage is the problem child and NATO is the middle.

**Seán** (1:26)
But do you know what I mean? So it's like, so you're going to grow, you know, you know, when you have like siblings grow up and there was like one middle child who was always ignored because they were well behaved, did their homework and didn't get into any trouble at school.
And that's sort of what Keir Starmer is, right? And Farage is the naughty child, the problem child.

**Albin** (1:43)
But you know, the interesting thing about a middle child, like the three siblings, who's the third then? Who's the eldest? If NATO is the middle child, who's the one that's kind of like felt out the parents?

**Seán** (1:55)
It probably would have been Merkel before, wouldn't it? You know?

**Albin** (1:59)
Yeah, the stalwart of the European project.

**Seán** (2:03)
Maybe it's like, I mean, who's in our coalition of the willing? Macron, maybe? Although he's busy, isn't he? He's got to put that ankle tag on Le Pen.
He actually has to put it on himself.

**Albin** (2:17)
He's a bigot, legueuil, yeah, fan of the old one.

**Seán** (2:20)
I wonder if he puts it on the right one.

**Albin** (2:23)
It's very good. It's very good. I enjoyed that.

**Seán** (2:26)
So, Farage is obviously embroiled in another fiasco, a furore. We were very well timed in Clacton yesterday.
I had a feeling, you know, I had a feeling it was coming yesterday.

**Albin** (2:41)
We could not have timed that better. I think we were an hour out by the time we were, by the time he tweeted that he was about to announce something, wasn't it?

**Seán** (2:50)
All in the plan, Albin. All in the plan. It did make me laugh that we ran into a friend of ours who works for a rival news company.

**Albin** (2:57)
A rival broadcast.

**Seán** (2:58)
She runs over going, how the hell did you beat me here? Because it's her patch. We were like, well, all in a day's work for us.

**Albin** (3:06)
She's a politics reporter, you were saying, isn't it?

**Seán** (3:08)
Yeah, she is. So we're East of England. She is, yeah.

**Albin** (3:12)
Beg your pardon. That's right.

**Seán** (3:13)
All in a day's work, really. Just beating everyone to the punch.

**Albin** (3:17)
That video is out as well.

**Seán** (3:18)
We're beating everyone to the milkshake, which is actually where we did a lot of those interviews yesterday.

**Albin** (3:22)
Yeah. The scene of the crime. That was wild. It was like a pilgrimage of sorts, wasn't it?

**Seán** (3:27)
Yeah.

**Albin** (3:27)
Stood outside that weatherspans.

**Seán** (3:30)
I have actually been speaking to her. Ben spoke to her yesterday and I spoke to her again today.

**Albin** (3:34)
Oh, yeah.

**Seán** (3:36)
Hoping to get her on.

**Albin** (3:37)
That would be interesting, wouldn't it?

**Seán** (3:39)
She did initially agree to it, but now we're just trying to work out time.

**Albin** (3:43)
Is the whole thing ridiculous?

**Seán** (3:47)
Well, I mean, it's becoming a bit of a farce, isn't it? And I would actually, so these were my thoughts when I was cycling this morning.
