Okay, our friends, so today we are reading more stories about food, because why not? And this particular story is about one of my absolute favorite foods. Everyone's allowed to have more than one, and I have a couple. I love popcorn, and I love marshmallows.
And today's story is called Most Marshmallows. I like them in Rice Krispie Treats. I like them in hot chocolate, in a s'more. And I will just eat a marshmallow plain, because I'm that kind of person. Do you like marshmallows? Of course, you do. They're delicious. So let's read today's story. Most Marshmallows was written by Robote Watkins. He has the coolest name in the history of the world.

Philip. Look at this. Did you know most marshmallows don't grow on trees?
And in the picture, we can see how the artist is thinking, maybe they did, if they were acorns, right? So in the picture, we see a bunch of acorns, but instead of being acorns hanging from the tree, they are marshmallows, or come from storks.
So no, they wouldn't be carried by birds or even Mars. So no, they would not come with spaceships. Now, most marshmallows are mostly born to one sweet parent, or two, obviously, and live in homes of one kind or another, like a tiny little house or a giant apartment building. And they celebrate birthdays. Oh, look at the little marshmallow birthday cake. They watch TV. Oh, the little marshmallows are all watching the Godzilla on the television show. Mm-hmm.

They go to school most mornings and learn to be squishy. And how to stand in rows. And why they can't breathe fire. Fire is only for dragons, okay?
You don't want to burn yourself. That is why marshmallows do not breathe fire. In the picture, we can see them showing. You know, on the chalkboard, why marshmallows should not attempt to breathe fire.
Now, most marshmallows eat dinner together. We see the family of marshmallows, the mom, marshmallow and the dad, and marshmallow and the little baby marshmallows are having their dinner. They're having peas and carrots and corn. And fall asleep. It does look nice. Now, here they all are together. All the little baby marshmallows have crawled into bed to read. Except for this one. One little marshmallow has got a book out. Hey, you need to turn that off and go to bed. It's night time.

Most nights. To dream about nothing.
Oh, that's sad. Why don't they dream about anything?

I don't know.

But some marshmallows somehow secretly know that all marshmallows can do anything.
And we can see what they have done, right? They have surfed, right, over the ocean. They have flown through the sky in a rocket ship surrounded by aliens. They have flown through the sky in a hot air balloon or a parachute or hiked up the mountain. These are very clever marshmallows. Or be anything, right? Yes, they could be stilt walkers. They could be shot out of cannons. Like circus people and even do trapeze work, right? Which is what we can see them doing here. They dare to imagine and they are daring to face a fire breathing dragon.
And all the other little marshmallows are watching the fire breathing dragon marshmallow in great surprise, because as it turns out, they didn't think he could do it. But now he has scared away the evil dragon who was fire breathing with his own fire breathing techniques. Impressive.
In this picture, it's impressive. So, ready? Roar! Says the fire breathing Marshmallow who has turned his fire breathing power onto the dragon, who is actually running for his life as he ought. Right?
Yeah. Well, here's the deal. It is a little bit silly, right? But don't you kind of love silly?
I do. I mean, I know I do. And I also love the fact that this person has taken Marshmallows and made them the main character. Now, let me just be really clear. Marshmallows are, in fact, edible foods, not alive. Right? We all know that, right? Trapeze artists. They're not trapeze artists. They do not blow fire out of their mouths because they don't have mouths. Right? But that's why this story is so much fun because silly is important, isn't it? Yeah. And everyone who appreciates a good, chewy, sweet marshmallow will appreciate this story. And I am glad that we read it. And it is also...
