SPEAKER_1 (0:01)

From the Principal Toyota Studios, it's Morning in Memphis with Todd Starnes.

Frank Colvette (0:08)

Good morning, Memphis! Today is Tuesday, October 20th, all day. Todd is out, he's getting ready for the Grizz's first game tomorrow night.

You have me, Frank Colvette, loyal and great Memphia, with Kristen, the flamethrower news.

Kevin Snider (0:25)

Well, hello!

Kristen New (0:27)

We are fully caffeinated and we are ready to talk politics because we are in the middle of early voting and it is election season, people.

Frank Colvette (0:34)

It is election season. Helen and the rest of the out of control crew is manning the board, so anytime you want to give us a call, 260-5926.

Look, as you get your first cup of coffee, as always, you really don't need it. You have Kristen and Frank.

Kristen New (0:51)

Oh, but I need it.

Frank Colvette (0:54)

Well, I've been here for 20 minutes and I know we're already in fifth gear. But before we get started, we want to say a special shout out to my sister-in-law, Amy Sadler.

Kristen New (1:05)

And my friend. Yes. I know Amy.

Frank Colvette (1:07)

Long time loyal KWAM listener, Amy Sadler turns 29 today. That's right.

Kristen New (1:12)

She's a youngin.

Frank Colvette (1:14)

Yeah. Happy birthday, Amy.

Kristen New (1:15)

Will that make her a millennial?

Frank Colvette (1:18)

Oh, my lord.

Close enough as far as my mother would say, that's the way it should be. You are in the Principal Toyota Studio. We are October 20th, two weeks, 14 days to Victory and Election Day. But most important, it's early voting. You have 26 locations to choose from.

Kristen New (1:39)

You have until October 29th to vote. And let me tell you guys, our hours at early voting are very convenient. It's from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the week, and we even have it open on Saturdays from 10 to 4

So get out there and vote, people. We need your vote. The numbers are showing that the Democrats are ruling us again. And I don't like that. I'm a little miffed by it.

Frank Colvette (2:07)

I don't like it at all.

Kristen New (2:08)

I don't like it.

Frank Colvette (2:09)

Early voting is now, what, 65, 75 percent of turnout?

Kristen New (2:13)

It is.

Frank Colvette (2:14)

Is during early voting. And the Democrats are obviously angry still about the redistricting because they're about to get Congressman Brent Taylor in the 9th district. But I'm told Todd Starnes is taking a break from trying out for the Grizzlies in their season opener. Todd, you on the line?

SPEAKER_5 (2:34)

Yeah, I am indeed, guys.

Kevin Snider (2:36)

I just sound great this morning.

SPEAKER_5 (2:37)

And I'm actually on my way to Memphis International Airport to help our good friends down in Texas once again, pull their fat out of the fire by trying to help get Ken Paxson elected to the Senate.

Kristen New (2:50)

All right. Well, that sounds like a good job to do because we've got a pure battle in Texas.

Kevin Snider (2:56)

Well, we really do.

SPEAKER_5 (2:57)

And it's just really a matter of getting out the vote. I was so happy to see Kristen New and many others out manning the outside of the polling station there in Germantown.

Waited about 35 minutes in line to vote. So that was exciting to see so many people out.

Kevin Snider (3:15)

But yeah, we're meeting with all of our great listeners in the Houston area.

SPEAKER_5 (3:19)

Patriot Talk 920

We're doing a big book event tonight.

A lot of the Harris County GOP will be there, a lot of the candidates.

Kevin Snider (3:28)

And I'm excited to be able to help our good friends out in Texas.

SPEAKER_5 (3:31)

I'll be back on Thursday. So you guys are doing a great job.

Frank Colvette (3:36)

Well, Todd, thank you so much. And thank you for all that you do. Texas, you know, they're trying hard to flip that seat. And that's been a reliably red state, very conservative.

What's your feeling on the ground out there? I mean, how are voters energized?

SPEAKER_5 (3:52)

I think voters are energized. I was in Southern California over the weekend, speaking to about a thousand Republicans. They are incredibly fired up. I really was inspired by their enthusiasm. So my advice to all of us here in the Mid-South, don't listen to the polling data. Don't listen to all the negative stories.

Kevin Snider (4:10)

Just get out and cast your vote.

SPEAKER_5 (4:12)

Bring somebody with you.

Kevin Snider (4:14)

And I just heard David Kustoff's ads.
