It's October 10th. Okay, big news out of New York today. The Rangers just found out that Igor Shesterkin is done for the season after a tough injury. That's a real blow for the team and their fans. Mika Zibanejad shared his thoughts about the situation with the media. He talked about how hard it is for both the team and Shesterkin himself. They need to rally around Dylan Garand, their new goalie, and keep the momentum going. It's tough to lose a teammate like that.

Shesterkin's been with the Rangers his whole career, which spans 8 seasons.

It's a significant loss, especially since he only played 5 games this year, and had impressive goals, against average of 1.79 and a save percentage of .927.

Zibanejad, who's been in New York for 11 seasons now, knows the struggles of the game. He's seen ups and downs, and this is definitely one of those downs. Gotta hope the team can come together and make the best out of a tough situation, so as the Rangers move forward, they'll have to adjust without their star goalie. Navigating this season just got a whole lot more challenging for them, but we'll see how they adapt. That wraps New York Rangers News Today, brought to you with AI. I'm Corey with the story.
