METALLICA Blasts Bands That Get Political Live | The Podcast That Rocked

Luke Spencer (0:13)

Welcome to the Podcast That Rocks weekly podcast that talks about news of the world of rock metal alternative and everything in between. My name is Luke.

Alex Gray (0:20)

My name is Alex.

Luke Spencer (0:21)

I hope you all are having a fantastic October the 14th for where we all are recording this right now. Hopefully, things are good on your side.

Alex, hopefully, the spooky season has been treating you well so far. We still need to decorate, but my wife and I have just been so busy and we have to haul down our giant black doctor still.

Alex Gray (0:40)

Yeah, see, year-round decorations prevent that.

Luke Spencer (0:44)

Yeah, but then how do you Christmas?

Alex Gray (0:47)

Oh, yeah, I'll tell you the truth. I put little Santa hats on all of my skeletons.

Luke Spencer (0:52)

Okay, uh-huh, uh-huh.

Alex Gray (0:56)

I do, it's the funniest thing.

Luke Spencer (0:59)

That's a very Spirit Halloween, it's gonna go for the Christmas market. It's all Christmas stuff now, but every costume just has a Santa hat.

Alex Gray (1:07)

I think that's me. Uh-huh.

Luke Spencer (1:11)

Thank you to all the Steves, especially the ones that have already get in Super Chats. If we get 50 likes, we'll play at least one round of Festival Rocker Flop, a lot of the rounds we already have booked. Thank you to the Steves who have given Super Chats and generously donated. I have updated the Festival Rocker Flop folder. We will book some random Festivals. There will be no repeats from last time. Unfortunately, that means no crowdsurfing bag of pee will be making an appearance in this week's Festival Rocker Flop.

Yay. If you'd like to catch up on that, just check out last week when Alex got a surprise.

Alex Gray (1:42)

That was so fun.

Luke Spencer (1:44)

It sure was. It was for me.

Don't give Spirit Halloween ideas. Oh, yeah. You don't think they have a contingency for Christmas stores? To keep renting all those hollowed out mall stores and things like that, department stores and strip mall places. We could get two more months out of this with Christmas stuff.

Alex Gray (2:07)

Dude, if you give them more ideas, it's going to be Spirit Christmas, Spirit Valentine's Day, Spirit St. Patrick's Day.

Luke Spencer (2:14)

Spirit Arbor Day.

Thank you for the YouTube memberships as well. Those are also quite appreciated. Letoosie in the chat, who got that fest. I feel so honored to have the first Bag of Pea Fest. Well, you know what? You are welcome. That is courtesy of what Alex Gray reading it out to you.

Alex Gray (2:36)

There you go. You're welcome. Thanks for making me read that out to you.

Luke Spencer (2:39)

Anything else before we get into our news of the week? We have quite the topical stuff that mostly everyone is quite aware of. Anything else we need to address now or should we wait for our own personal positive stuff for a little bit?

Alex Gray (2:56)

You know, I do have something positive that we can talk about before we jump into all of this.

Luke Spencer (3:01)

Go for it.

Alex Gray (3:03)

So, we've been talking about this super awesome slipknot, Bring Me the Horizon, Motionless and White, and others depending on where you are across the country.

And Luke and I have been teasing and letting you know that we do have more chances to win tickets to The Phoenix Show on August 18th. So, Luke, I'm super stoked to announce that all next week on Rocked Radio, we're giving away tickets.

Luke Spencer (3:27)

So, all you have to do is listen to rockedradio.com or the app to win slipknot tickets?

That's pretty easy to do. I mean, I can do that.

Alex Gray (3:39)

I mean, there's another step after that. But if you listen, you'll know exactly what that step is and how to win. So if you want to go see Slipknot in Phoenix next August, make sure you're tuned in all next week to Rocked Radio at rockedradio.com for your chance to win.

Luke Spencer (3:54)

That is Slipknot with Remitherized and Emotionalist in White at Chase Field in Arizona.

You can go see Slipknot, hit a home run and round the bases. I'm sure Corey Taylor is going to try to do that. I'm confident. Oh no.

Alex Gray (4:11)

You're giving me an asthma attack just thinking about it. Running? What?

Luke Spencer (4:15)

You don't have to run, Corey Taylor will.

Alex Gray (4:18)

I know, but then I'm like, well, I could do that. And then I'm like, no, I can't. I'll follow.
