This episode is brought to you by Quince. Shaking off that summer routine and getting back into things means you don't have time to worry about what to wear. You've got kids to get ready for school, planning that needs to get done for the next quarter, or whatever else is on your plate heading into fall. But Quince has your back. You see, they make creating a stylish functional wardrobe easy with timeless versatile pieces. And it's all high quality too, without the insane brand markup you see at other companies. Now that's because Quince works directly with ethical factories. So they pass those savings to you. Now that the weather is cooling off, I love wearing my Pro-Tech Golf Pants I picked up from Quince, because now that fall is coming, it's time to ditch the shorts and get pants up. I love these pants, folks, because they look so stylish and are incredibly comfy. You should try them if you want to look good while feeling good. And you know, I found it's really easy to mix and match their pieces. I mean, I can wear those same Pro-Tech Golf Pants with just about any shirt or sweater combo. Or take their cashmere sweater. It can go with either a pair of their jeans or chinos, or lounge pants. Quince also has an impressive selection of home goods, like quality bed linens and towels, or furniture for dorm rooms, also made with the same quality and care that goes into their clothing, by the way. So find your next fall favorites at Quince. Download the Quince app for app-exclusive offers, or go to quince.com/engadgetnext.

Meta is reportedly gearing up to launch new smart glasses without a camera. More on that in moments, but first, Google has revealed the new features coming to its Pixel devices this month, including an update to VIPs that will make them easier to reach. On Pixel 6 phones and newer, you can now see expanded widget options that you can use to quickly send a text or call your VIPs or favorite contacts straight from the home screen. You also get new notification badges where you can see if you've received an urgent message or if you have an unread one from a VIP in a glance. The company is expanding scam detection in app and inside messages as well. In the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, India, Germany, Mexico, Japan, and France, scam detection can now alert you if it spots potential fraudulent messages across chat apps in your notifications. If you're in the US, the feature will alert you of potential scam messages right within your Gboard keyboard.

Some people complain that the quality of music streaming isn't good enough, but then don't realize they can adjust settings to improve their audio output. While your speakers or headphones play a huge part in how you hear music through Spotify, options in the app and on your device are important too. If you've never explored Spotify's audio settings, or it's been a while since you have, take some time to customize them. Spotify Premium users in particular have several ways to make their music sound even better. Head over to engadget.com as Engadget's own Ben Stagner takes the deep dive and explains how to get Spotify's best audio quality.

And the iPhone Duo may have hogged the limelight at last week's Surprise and Shine event, but it won't be available for a while. And as there was no mention of a standard iPhone 18, the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max became the de facto new handsets for anyone considering the candy bar smartphone from Apple right now. If we can bring back that somewhat retro term, we feel we can resurrect another, the S year. Compared to the redesign on the iPhone 17 Pro, this year's release feels iterative, reminiscent of when the company made S versions of iPhones that tended to deliver smaller improvements. In addition to a tinier, dynamic island, the iPhone 18 Pro's updates largely revolve around photography, performance, and battery improvements. Oh, and of course, there are the new features coming with iOS 27, including Siri AI and that whole shebang. We've spent almost a week with the new phone, and have done our best to put all these features to the test to see how they perform in the real world. You can check out Jerolyn Lowe's full review of the iPhone 18 Pro right now at engadget.com.
