All right, you guys, this is gonna be a long run episode of me and Lindsay Teague.
Who's Lindsay Teague? You might not know. She is all over social media under the name Run.This.Life. And I noticed her on Facebook, and I immediately thought this is an interesting person. Not because she wins races, or not because she's super fast and putting up crazy times or anything like that, but because she kind of has a story that is relatable, and she seems to be someone who's just like us, and learning about the sport and loving the sport and loving what it does for her. She has a full-time job, she has kids. You know, it's not a, there's some people out there that are like quote unquote influencers, or that are all over your feed, that are just living their best and most perfect life. With her, you get the ups and downs, and you get a lot of reals. So I really thought she was interesting, and didn't know anything about her, and this is like a cold call, get to know somebody, and I really liked her. I think it's really good. I think she has a message that everybody could learn from, and I think it's especially relatable to people that are new or not particularly fast, because everybody could love this sport, and running can make you love your life. So interesting stuff. In terms of bookkeeping, we have maybe like six weeks left before the Badger, and the 50K is about to sell out. There's three spots left. So now people defer, and then they free up spots left and right, but that slows down a lot after July 1st. So this is your final warning. If you want to do the 50K, get in. All the other distances seem pretty safe, but if you don't get in by July 1, you're not guaranteed our great swag, and we have great swag. So hop on that if you want to guarantee your swag. If you want to roll the dice, roll the dice. Now, sometimes you sign up the day before and you get all the swag, and it's no different. But sometimes you don't get your shirt, or you don't get, you know, something that we put in the packet. So, and it helps us put on a better race. The more money we have, the better race we can put on. It's that easy. So check that out. There'll be a coaching call coming soon. I'm trying to get back on track with the Meet the Nations. I'm recording another gang show tomorrow. So there'll be a gang show next week. Sorry for the delays or the pauses, but what I'm trying to do is I'm trying to not just put out podcasts, put them out and trying to only put out things when I have something good. And I'm only interviewing people I want to interview, and I'm not kind of restricting myself to the timeline. Anyway, that's enough of me and enough of the intro. Let's just... It's called Lindsay Teague.
Let's get to know her.
Well, I mean, I already did, but you don't know that, because you're listening for the first time. I already know that it's going to be interesting, and you're going to like it, so there you go.
And we're good to go.

**Lindsay Teague** (3:07)
All right.

**Scotty** (3:08)
Good evening. How are you?

**Lindsay Teague** (3:10)
I'm good, how are you?

**Scotty** (3:11)
Oh, I can't complain at all. I see you've had some big news recently in your life.

**Lindsay Teague** (3:18)
Lots of big news. Are you referring to Cocodona?

**Scotty** (3:22)
I am.

**Lindsay Teague** (3:23)
Cause that has been, yeah, definitely the top of the list.

**Scotty** (3:27)
Why?

**Lindsay Teague** (3:29)
I have wanted to do this race for about two years, but it did not feel like I was ready yet. I wasn't ready.
And this was the first year that I kind of felt like, okay, I did the back to back 100s in March. And I think if I give myself another year, I might actually have a fair shot at it. But then they switched it to a lottery this year. First year it's been a lottery. And that made me a little bit nervous that maybe I wasn't going to get my chance. So when I actually got my name pulled, I was pretty excited. It kind of feels a little bit more meant to be.

**Scotty** (4:02)
Well, it's a big jump, though, right? I mean, 100 to 250, that's a huge jump. Yeah.

**Lindsay Teague** (4:09)
Well, my first ever ultramarathon, I had never run more than 27 miles and I did a 50-miler.
