Alright, you guys, this is going to be a long run episode of me and Ian Corless. Now, if you don't, I'm saying half of you don't know who he is. The other half of you are like, oh my god, Ian Corless. That's amazing. Ian has been a podcaster and a photographer and involved in the sport for as long as I have, if not longer. And Ian wrote an article recently about his observations regarding the relationship between media and runners and influencers and all of the kind of issues that I brought up about my experiences at Cocodona. We related to a lot of things and said, let's talk. And you know what? I've wanted to interview him for a really long time. I don't feel like we did him justice. I felt like we got halfway through and then I had to go and it was just like, we have to do this again, we have to do more. So I'm hoping that after Western States, I can circle back to him and maybe get Speed Goat involved and maybe have a three person conversation about what's next? Are there any solutions to these problems or should we just all say, well, the sport's changed and it's just going to be what it is. But we discussed a lot of interesting subjects and a lot of new trends and things like that in the sport. And I think you're really, really going to like it. And when I first started podcasting, there was like three basically ultrarunning podcasts. There was Ultrarunner Podcast, which is gone, Trailrunner Nation, which is still going strong, and Talk Ultra, which was Ian Corless. So his show was a real big deal to me early in my ultrarunning, and I was really glad to touch base with him. So I think you're really going to like it. Also, I was just going to mention my progress. I should have a coaching call coming soon. I just got to three consecutive miles of running, which is very exciting. So stay tuned. Maybe, you know, I'm going to do my first race this weekend, but I'm going to hike like half of the race, so it's not really racing it. But three miles at a time is a good milestone for me. Sugar Badger was great. Badger Registration is still open. There's lots of room in a lot of different events.
Nothing's really close right now to selling out, so that's the first weekend in August. Come on down. We're going to have a good time, just like all of our other races. It's free food. It's free pizza, free beer, free camping, free pictures. Lots of good swag and the best aid stations you'll ever have in ultrarunning. So come on down, check it out, and I'm excited to share this interview with you, between me and Ian Corless. Oh, and last but not least, if you want to help out the show, get in the Patreon, patreon.com/tenjunkmiles. Just, if you donate like a dollar a month, it really helps us pay all the fees, and we don't have to deal with, you know, we have bandwidth fees, we have fees for stuff that we take to aid stations. There's a lot of things that we spend money on. It helps us to not go out of pocket on that stuff. But, so if you can give, if you can't, that's fine. That's fine, too. We don't give you anything for it. We just say your name on the gang show. So check it out, Patreon. patreon.com/tenjunkmiles. And enjoy a little me and Ian Corless.
We're recording a gang show this weekend up at the Maritime Marathon. I got a gang show at Mandy's house after that.
I have another really interesting person that I'm interviewing that don't know much about. Usually when I don't know about them, it's more fun. So I think you'll like it.
Ian Corless.
That's the artist. I was interviewing Sam Gash. I set the whole thing up and then I got this email from her. I was in the middle of a business meeting and it said, I'm going to have to cancel. I know it's an hour away, but I have to cancel it. I just looked at my thing and I'm like, how is it an hour away? Then I realized that the other problem is that we're saying Thursday at a certain time, but we're not discussing whether it's your Thursday or my Thursday. So it's all fucked up.
Well, welcome and thank you for coming on.

No problem.

I figure when I put this up, 50 percent of the people that listen to this show are going to say, oh my God, Ian Corless, that's amazing.
