Fearless with Jason Whitlock
September 29, 2026
Jason Whitlock contrasts lone black Lindsay Clancy juror, Michael Desronvil, with Ben Crump's Nolan Wells tactics, arguing that method reveals motive: peace versus provocation. Desronvil stood 11-1 for mercy and reconciliation after tragedy, while Crump stages conflict to harvest outrage.

Methods reveal motives. Remember that as I unpack this mono.
Michael Desronvils, the lone juror in the Lindsay Clancy case, is a man chasing peace. He's one of the most sought after interviews in America right now. He's chosen to remain mostly silent. Yesterday, he released an 81 second video that thanked God and asked for the public to focus on the three dead children, not him. Desronvils has no interest in being anyone's victim or anyone's hero.
He stood 11 to one and refused to move. He thanked God for his Catholic faith and for the ability to love his daughter. He asked for one thing, put the focus on Cora, Dawson and Callan.
No fun link, no tour, no performance. Watch for yourself.

Hi, my name is Michael Peggy Desronvil, also known as The Lone Jorah.
I know the whole focus has been on me, but we want to reel everything back and put the focus on the three angels that's at hand. The ones that can't speak for themselves, the ones that can't defend themselves, and the one that can't fight the battles. Those are Cora, Dawson and Callan. A little bit about me. I want to thank God for my Catholic faith. I want to thank God for blessing me with the ability to love my daughter.
And I'm foremost, I would like to thank everyone, every individual that has supported me throughout this difficult situation. Your prayers, your emotional support, your psychological support is a tremendous to my heart that I feel, that I sense, that I know. I do want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.

Contrast that, that lone Black juror. Contrast him to Ben Crump. Crump is an agitator for conflict. And as I tried to make clear yesterday on this show, an agitator for violence. Ben Crump has no interest in peace. His job is to promote racial conflict. His end game is violence. Crump is not new.
He's inarticulate Martin Luther King Jr., Mush Mouth MLK. This is that fire.
Grab your Bible.
Many of you still believe Dr. King was a proponent of nonviolence. That is not true. That was the brand he wore. His methods said otherwise. Methods reveal motive. King stage marches where confrontation was certain. He invited the response, filmed the response, and sold the response as moral proof.
Yesterday, Delano, Anthony, Dre, and Shemekka, when we talked about Ben Crump, they heard money and votes. They missed the method that produces the money and the votes. Let me walk you through some American history. Talk to me by Chad Jackson, who will be on this show very shortly. But let's start in 1934 with the West Coast Waterfront Strike.
Longshoremen shut down every port from San Diego to Seattle, and on Bloody Thursday, police shot into strikers in San Francisco. Two workers died. The city answered with a general strike. Cameras and papers carried the blood. The blood moved politicians who ignored peaceful petitions.
Then let's move to 1937, and the Memorial Day Massacre in Chicago. Republic Steelworkers marched for a union contract on Memorial Day. They were unarmed, many with wives and children near the field. Chicago police opened fire, 10 dead, more than 60 wounded. A newsreel cameraman captured it. The film was buried for years because it proved the clash was invited, managed and then used as leverage. Take a look.

On Memorial Day in 1937, striking workers at Republic Steel in South Chicago gathered for a picnic. When union activists marched towards the plant, police attacked. Why were 10 workers killed and why was the only film footage of the tragedy hidden from the public?
The lessons for workers and the media still resonate today.

In 1934 and in 1937, white people shot, killed, the whole nine yards, attacked by police, damaged by police. That is the formula of the 1950s and 60s perfected. Planned disobedience where the permit will be denied, march where the line will hold, force the sheriff to choose between retreat and force. He will choose force. Dogs will be restrained, hoses knock bodies down in the street, clubs will swing, nightly news shows only show the swings. The nation never debates the ordinance. The nation debates the dogs.
This is a pattern. The 50s and 60s, Dr. King were employing tactics that were commonplace long before and done against white people. Now let's move to Kent State in 1970 The same dynamic. Trapped white students protesting the war. The governor sent the guard. Tear gas, then rifles. Four students dead in 13 seconds.
Now apply that history to Benjamin Crump.
On September 26th, he posted video of black Hebrew Israelites marching over Nolan Wells. That march was from July. He sold it as right now. A grand jury had already found no foul play. Death consistent with drowning. Ben Crump hid that fact. One day earlier, Lee Merritt claimed black people were being lynched across the country. He's priming the fear.
