Okay, our friends, so today we are reading a story for all of you sweet little children out there who love making messes.
Do you like to make a mess? Do you like to leave stuff everywhere? Spill things and not pick them up?

**SPEAKER_2** (0:26)
Leave piles of treats and goodies and toys and things wherever it is they fall?

**Lisa Bueno** (0:35)
Are you the kid who takes off his shoes or socks and just leaves them wherever they may fall? I should hope not. But if you are, perhaps you have something to learn from today's story. Today is called Little Oink. The story was written by Amy Krauss Rosenthal, and it's illustrated by Jen Kores, and it's read today by Mommy and...
Who are you?

**SPEAKER_4** (1:12)
Who are you? Identification, please.

**Lisa Bueno** (1:15)
That's what I'm asking for.
Oh, are you a robot? Asking me for my identification? I am looking for your identification.

**SPEAKER_4** (1:39)
I am Unit 33317

**Lisa Bueno** (1:43)
Unit 33317?

**SPEAKER_4** (1:46)
Unit 33317 of the Separatist Army.

**Lisa Bueno** (1:50)
I see. What does your programming command you to do?

**SPEAKER_4** (1:57)
Take identification and guard the posts of the Separatist factory.

**Lisa Bueno** (2:06)
Ah, okay. My identification is Mommy, and my programming requires that I read stories to little robots.
Mission accepted.

**SPEAKER_4** (2:20)
Another clone! Splash them!

**Lisa Bueno** (2:25)
Well, that's the end of him.

**SPEAKER_4** (2:29)
Yikes! Are you okay, miss?

**Lisa Bueno** (2:30)
I am.

**SPEAKER_4** (2:32)
How did you get so close to that Separatist battle droid?

**Lisa Bueno** (2:36)
Well, I was reading him a story. It's part of my job.

**SPEAKER_4** (2:39)
Slap.

**SPEAKER_2** (2:40)
Would you like to have a story?

**SPEAKER_4** (2:45)
Uh, of course.
Nice! Sir, yes, sir!

**Lisa Bueno** (2:52)
And now comes the story of Little Oink. Little Oink was a neat little pig. He liked a lot of things. We can see him in the picture. He is building a house of cards. His room looks so tidy.
He dug, playing with his pig pals. And we can see his pals, they're all digging under some trees.

**SPEAKER_3** (3:17)
Hey guys, I found a truffle.

**Lisa Bueno** (3:19)
He says, truffles are really yummy for pigs.
He savored his days at school. And we can see them all in a classroom. And it says, mess hall specials, sloppy joe, gruel au gratin, dessert mud pie. And all the little pigs have stuck their faces in their troughs. And he relished night time with Mama Pig and Papa Pig.

**SPEAKER_3** (3:45)
Mama Pig says, this little piggy went to market. This little piggy stayed home. This little piggy had roast beef. This little piggy had none. And this little piggy ran all the way home.

**Lisa Bueno** (4:02)
But there was one thing that little oink did not like. What do you guess it is?
Mess up time. And that's because that's what you have to do when you are a pig. Make a mess, mess, mess!

**SPEAKER_3** (4:23)
All my friends get to clean their rooms. Why can't I?

**Lisa Bueno** (4:30)
Asked little oink. And he's thinking about how the cat cleans her dollhouse, how the skunk puts away his socks in nice neat little pairs, how the mouse scrubs the floor with the soap.
Even Monkey puts all of his blocks in a neat orderly fashion. And Bird sorts her leaves.

**SPEAKER_5** (5:00)
If you want to grow up to be a respectable pig, you must learn how to make a proper mess, said Papa Pig.

**SPEAKER_3** (5:13)
Mess up your room, put on some dirty clothes, and then you can go out and play, said Mama Pig. Do I have to?

**Lisa Bueno** (5:25)
Little Oink snorted. Can you close your mouth?

**SPEAKER_3** (5:30)
Do I have to?

**Lisa Bueno** (5:33)
Little Oink snorted.
Yes, you have to, they retorted. And so off he went.

**SPEAKER_3** (5:41)
When I grow up, I'm going to let my kids clean up their rooms as much as they want, he thinks to himself.

**Lisa Bueno** (5:51)
So he unmade his bed. And it looks like he's thrown his pillow and his blankets on the floor.
He unfolded his clothes and has wadded them up and thrown them on the ground. He threw his towel, he threw his towel on the floor. He put on a stained t-shirt. He dragged in some mud.

**SPEAKER_3** (6:24)
Have I messed up enough?

**Lisa Bueno** (6:27)
Asked Little Oink.

**SPEAKER_3** (6:30)
I still see toys in their bin, mister. Please, not another word until this room's a total pigsty.
Fine, whined this one.

**Lisa Bueno** (6:50)
He does not look happy at all. So, he goes over to his toy chest. And, one toy he tosses. Two toys, three toys, four toys, five toys, six toys, seven toys, eight toys, nine toys, ten toys.
