So, you are part of the prosecution team that handles the downloads of computers and cell phones and things like that, right?

Specifically, mobile devices, sir, not computers.

Mobile devices, okay. And the other gentleman that testified, Pavel, is that his name?

Pavel. And he did the laptops that were found in the office, in the home, right?

Correct. He has those certifications.

Now, the district attorney had asked you some questions about different searches that you had done on Celebrate and on Axiom. All your searches dealt with Lindsay's cell phone, right?

To clarify, sir, I did no searches on Axiom.

**Kevin Reddington** (1:07)
Okay. You did searches on Celebrate.

**Timothy Chiappini** (1:10)
This is the only forensic tool I use, correct? All right.

**Kevin Reddington** (1:14)
And basically, I'm just trying to get a handle on that you and your other brother or sister officers would examine, for example, the computers that were found in Patrick's office in the house, right? You didn't put the other people in, right?

**Timothy Chiappini** (1:32)
That's correct.

**Kevin Reddington** (1:33)
And then you got the computer, strike that, you got the cell phone that was Lindsay's cell phone, right?

**Timothy Chiappini** (1:40)
Yes, sir.

And you then did what's called an advanced logical of Lindsay's phone, is that right?

**Timothy Chiappini** (1:49)
That's correct.

**Kevin Reddington** (1:49)
And what is an advanced logical? What does that mean?

**Timothy Chiappini** (1:52)
It's an extraction that utilizes the iTunes backup of an iOS device and it acquires most of the user facing content, meaning calls, texts, images, browser history.

**Kevin Reddington** (2:07)
So you lost me on user facing. What does that mean?

**Timothy Chiappini** (2:10)
What the user sees when they're using the phone.

**Kevin Reddington** (2:13)
Okay. So like if you pick up a phone and you open it up, then that's you're interfacing with the phone and you're looking at different things such as photographs, emails, texts, things like that.

**Timothy Chiappini** (2:22)
Yes, sir. Okay.

**Kevin Reddington** (2:25)
In addition to trooper Sergeant Paveo and yourself, there also was another trooper that you were working with, the guy by the name of Rabbit, like Roger Rabbit, right?

**Timothy Chiappini** (2:38)
Yes. Joseph Rabbit was assigned to the unit at the time.

**Kevin Reddington** (2:41)
He also conducted a search, but he did what's called a full file system extraction, right?

**Timothy Chiappini** (2:48)
I don't recall.

**Kevin Reddington** (2:49)
Okay. What is a full file system extraction as opposed to advanced logical extraction?

**Timothy Chiappini** (2:54)
A full file system extraction would acquire the databases and information that you cannot see as a user on a device.

**Kevin Reddington** (3:01)
I see. So your extraction was done on January 30th, is that correct?

**Timothy Chiappini** (3:07)
Yes, sir.

**Kevin Reddington** (3:08)
And Rabbit's extraction was done on January 27th, right?

**Timothy Chiappini** (3:12)
I'm not aware of Trooper Rabbit's extraction.

**Kevin Reddington** (3:14)
Did you ever collaborate with him as an investigator investigating Lindsay Clancy on this case and talk about what you located or what he located?

**Timothy Chiappini** (3:22)
I had no discussion with him about the phone extraction.

**Kevin Reddington** (3:25)
All right. Is he still working for the state police?

**Timothy Chiappini** (3:27)
He is.

**Kevin Reddington** (3:29)
Would you agree with me that the full file extraction actually gets more information than the advanced logical? In other words, Rabbit's extraction would have got more information than you got on your advanced logical.

**Timothy Chiappini** (3:42)
That's correct.

So one of the things the district attorney had asked you about was in reference to Reshibit 237, and that would be the celebrate report. Is that correct? Basically, the caption for the extraction on the celebrate report?

**Timothy Chiappini** (4:17)
This is a supplemental report that I completed from the physical analyzer software.

Okay. And would that be celebrate?

**Timothy Chiappini** (4:26)
Yes.

So that's why I asked. Looking at Exhibit 237, the second page, that on the very top, that I'm looking at here, can you tell me on the right, what is it depicting on the right?
