But first, I want to get you updated on the latest fallout in the Lindsay Clancy case. We were all together Friday when the judge finally declared this trial after the jury could not come to a unanimous decision after seven days of deliberations and two months of trial. Clancy's attorney, Kevin Reddington, spent the six-week trial in Plymouth, Massachusetts making the case that Clancy was not criminally responsible for killing her three children due to postpartum psychosis. Well he appeared on ABC's Good Morning America this morning for his first sit-down interview where he bizarrely asked President Trump for a pardon for his client. Watch.

Well, it would have been nice if George Stephanopoulos would have asked him one follow-up question, which is, why would you be asking for a pardon when your client is charged with a state crime, something for which the president cannot pardon her? What is this fucking couple of dumbasses sitting? I'm sorry, but like, what? George Stephanopoulos has been an anchor for a long time. I think most people understand this. Why wouldn't he follow up with a pardon? What do you mean, a pardon? Your client's been charged under state laws. President Trump can't pardon that. Just like one quick question. And honestly, like this is probably, I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt and say this is the function of network morning news, where everything is three minutes long. It's like they had seven minutes with the guy. It was an eternity. And, God forbid, you blow a break or you actually just take the time that's necessary to clarify what in God's name your guest is talking about. Instead, you just leave everyone confused.
