This is live courtroom coverage of the trial of Lindsay Clancy from the Hidden Killers podcast in True Crime Today. Now, back to the courtroom.
**Kevin Reddington** (0:11)
All right, counsel? Thank you, Your Honor.
Morning.
**Latisha Dukes** (0:19)
Good morning.
**Kevin Reddington** (0:22)
So, can you tell me, is it four times that you yourself actually met with Lindsay or more?
**Latisha Dukes** (0:29)
Can you repeat that?
**Kevin Reddington** (0:30)
I'm sorry. Was it four times that you actually met with Lindsay or more? And that would include telehealth?
**Latisha Dukes** (0:37)
Four.
**Kevin Reddington** (0:38)
Four times. Okay. You met with her on the 2nd of December, right?
**Latisha Dukes** (0:47)
Yes.
**Kevin Reddington** (0:48)
And you met with her on the 12th of December, is that right?
**Latisha Dukes** (0:53)
Yes.
**Kevin Reddington** (0:54)
You met with her on the 19th of December, right?
**Latisha Dukes** (0:58)
Yes.
**Kevin Reddington** (0:59)
And is it the 27th as well? Was there another one? Do you remember when that was?
**Latisha Dukes** (1:04)
That was by phone.
**Kevin Reddington** (1:05)
By phone. And would that be the 27th?
**Latisha Dukes** (1:08)
Yes.
**Kevin Reddington** (1:08)
Okay.
So what I'm going to do is give you the documents that the district attorney is questioning you from. Just so you may actually have it in front of you, okay?
**Latisha Dukes** (1:23)
Thank you.
**Kevin Reddington** (1:24)
And you can slide up and just...
And if I get confused or something, just let me know that you're on a different page than me. A couple of background questions. When you met with Lindsay, for example, on the 2nd of December, you were at least able to look at the records of Nurse Paul as well as Nurse Jollotta, right?
**Latisha Dukes** (1:53)
No. Oh.
**Kevin Reddington** (1:54)
You guys work in the same place though, right?
**Latisha Dukes** (1:57)
Yes.
**Kevin Reddington** (1:59)
Okay. So when a woman is in post-partum and comes to social health for help, when you're trying to help them, you can't see the medical records from what the other people like Nurse Paul and Nurse Jollotta have written down?
**Latisha Dukes** (2:17)
You can see the records, yes.
**Kevin Reddington** (2:19)
You can?
**Latisha Dukes** (2:19)
Yes.
**Kevin Reddington** (2:20)
Okay. So you did look at the records?
**Latisha Dukes** (2:22)
I did not look at the records.
**Kevin Reddington** (2:25)
Okay.
On the 2nd of December, you can look along with it if you wish. Looking under what would be referred to as behavioral health intake, your page is a numbered minor not, so if you can find that one page, behavioral health intake on December 2nd. The jurors will have this as an exhibit by just going through the pages. Do you have it?
**Latisha Dukes** (2:49)
One second. Yes, I have it.
**Kevin Reddington** (2:59)
Okay. Now, one of the things that you would be interested in when you're interacting with a patient that comes to your facility for help, is how honest they are, right?
**Latisha Dukes** (3:11)
Yes.
**Kevin Reddington** (3:12)
Especially in psychiatry, you want to make sure that the person is not lying to you or hiding something. You want them to be honest, right?
**Latisha Dukes** (3:21)
Yes.
**Kevin Reddington** (3:23)
For example, Lindsay disclosed to you and to the others that back in 2012, while she was in nursing school, she actually had Prozac because she was very nervous actually about public speaking, but she was on Prozac, right?
**Latisha Dukes** (3:40)
One second.
**Kevin Reddington** (3:40)
Sure. I think it's right under behavioral health history, first paragraph.
**Latisha Dukes** (3:46)
Yes. Yes.
**Kevin Reddington** (3:58)
Okay. She also told you that she had been prescribed Ativan, for example, by psychiatrist Jennifer Tufts, right?
**Latisha Dukes** (4:10)
Just reviewing.
**Kevin Reddington** (4:11)
Second paragraph.
**Latisha Dukes** (4:25)
So, no, that's not what I see here.
**Kevin Reddington** (4:28)
Okay. Do you see where it says, prior to attending the Shore program, sentence, second paragraph?
Yes. Patient was prescribed Ativan by psychiatrist Jennifer Tufts?
**Latisha Dukes** (4:37)
It says here she was prescribed Zoloft.
**Kevin Reddington** (4:41)
Well, I must be misreading something. I apologize. Let me approach you.
This is what I had here. History and current functioning, right? Okay. Then behavioral health, history, paragraph one, right? References to Prozac, right?
**Latisha Dukes** (5:04)
Yes.
**Tony Brueski** (5:05)
Okay.
**Latisha Dukes** (5:06)
But it doesn't say, she said Dr. Tufts.
**Kevin Reddington** (5:09)
No, I was saying the second paragraph, prior to attending shore program, she disposed to you that she was prescribed Ativan, right?
**Latisha Dukes** (5:18)
So which one are you?
**Kevin Reddington** (5:19)
Second paragraph right here.
**Tony Brueski** (5:20)
