Bless you.
**Kevin Reddington** (0:12)
All right, good afternoon. I'd ask you to speak into that microphone, keep your voice up if you could, okay?
**SPEAKER_4** (0:19)
Okay. All right. Please pray.
**SPEAKER_2** (0:21)
Thank you. Good afternoon.
Can you please state and spell your name for the record?
**SPEAKER_4** (0:26)
Amy Bevins, A-M-Y-B-E-V-I-N-S.
**SPEAKER_2** (0:31)
Your date of birth?
**SPEAKER_4** (0:32)
8-22-90.
**SPEAKER_2** (0:34)
Do you live in Connecticut?
**SPEAKER_4** (0:35)
Yes.
**SPEAKER_2** (0:36)
What do you do for work?
**SPEAKER_4** (0:38)
I'm a licensed behavior analyst, but I specialize primarily in early intervention for young children with autism.
**SPEAKER_2** (0:44)
If you could just keep your voice up a little bit, maybe come a little forward to the mic. How long have you been doing that?
**SPEAKER_4** (0:51)
Six years. I was a special education teacher before that for a long time as well.
**SPEAKER_2** (0:57)
Do you know Lindsay Clancy?
**SPEAKER_4** (0:58)
Yes.
**SPEAKER_2** (0:59)
How do you know her?
**SPEAKER_4** (1:01)
We have been friends for almost 29 years.
**SPEAKER_2** (1:05)
So you met her when you were children?
**SPEAKER_4** (1:08)
Yes.
**SPEAKER_2** (1:09)
Did you go to school together?
**SPEAKER_4** (1:10)
Up elementary school.
**SPEAKER_2** (1:13)
And after that?
**SPEAKER_4** (1:14)
All the way up through middle school and high school as well. Okay.
**SPEAKER_2** (1:18)
And did you keep in touch with Lindsay when you went off to college?
**SPEAKER_4** (1:26)
Yes.
**SPEAKER_2** (1:27)
I'm assuming you didn't go to the same college, right?
**SPEAKER_4** (1:29)
No.
**SPEAKER_2** (1:30)
Do you know where Lindsay went?
**SPEAKER_4** (1:31)
Quinnipiac University.
**SPEAKER_2** (1:33)
And how did you keep in touch?
**SPEAKER_4** (1:36)
Through texts, phone calls. We visited each other at each other's campuses.
**SPEAKER_2** (1:42)
And then when Lindsay went to nursing school, did you still stay in touch at that point in time?
**SPEAKER_4** (1:48)
Yes.
**SPEAKER_2** (1:49)
And how did you do that? The same way like text visits?
**SPEAKER_4** (1:52)
Yes. I also lived in Boston at the same time that she was in nursing school up in Boston.
**SPEAKER_2** (1:59)
So was your contact more frequent while she was in nursing school versus when she was in college?
**SPEAKER_4** (2:07)
I can't remember the exact amount of contact, but I would say we were always in contact together, yes.
**SPEAKER_2** (2:13)
Okay. While Ms. Clancy was in nursing school, did she ever tell you that she was taking some mental health medication?
**SPEAKER_4** (2:24)
I can't recall.
**SPEAKER_2** (2:26)
Did she ever tell you that she was struggling with anxiety or anything like that while in nursing school?
**SPEAKER_4** (2:32)
Nothing that I can recall.
**SPEAKER_2** (2:35)
And after she was finished with nursing school, did the two of you still remain in touch?
**SPEAKER_4** (2:41)
Yes.
**SPEAKER_2** (2:41)
And how often would you see her?
**SPEAKER_4** (2:45)
I moved back home to Connecticut, so whenever we were, she was able to visit home, we would stay in touch. I traveled to Boston, not very frequently, but I would visit her there as well.
**SPEAKER_2** (2:59)
And did you have a text chain going between the two of you?
**SPEAKER_4** (3:03)
Yes.
**SPEAKER_2** (3:04)
And did you also have a group text with other friends from Connecticut that you both grew up with, that you would participate in?
**SPEAKER_4** (3:10)
Yes.
**SPEAKER_2** (3:10)
And how often would you text with Lindsay?
**SPEAKER_4** (3:17)
Pretty frequently. It depended on, I think, the point in life that we were at, but I would say there was regular communication.
**SPEAKER_2** (3:27)
And growing up with Lindsay and knowing her into adulthood, how would you describe her general demeanor?
**SPEAKER_4** (3:37)
She was pretty a calm person. She was nice and had a very calm approach to herself.
**SPEAKER_2** (3:52)
And during that time that you knew her and would interact with her, did you ever notice any changes in her pattern of speech or rate of speech?
**SPEAKER_4** (4:03)
No.
**SPEAKER_2** (4:04)
Was she pretty consistent in her behavior and speech patterns throughout the years that you knew her?
**SPEAKER_4** (4:10)
Yes.
**SPEAKER_2** (4:13)
After Ms. Clancy had Cora, were you still in contact with her at that time?
**SPEAKER_4** (4:20)
Yes.
**SPEAKER_2** (4:21)
And just to kind of get it out of the way, were you in contact with her all the way up through January of 2023?
**SPEAKER_4** (4:28)
Yes.
**SPEAKER_2** (4:29)
And so after she had Cora, did you notice any changes in her demeanor?
**SPEAKER_4** (4:34)
No.
**SPEAKER_2** (4:35)
Did you notice any changes in her behavior?
**SPEAKER_4** (4:37)
No.
