My friend. Megan, first week of school vibe check. How are you doing?

**Megan Gailey** (2:19)
So today was day one.
I cried more than every parent and every four-year-old combined. You did? I sobbed. How?

**Erin Ryan** (2:30)
You're not even puffy.

**Megan Gailey** (2:31)
Well, I think my eyes are so red from just being tired in general.
I sobbed so hard on the way out, a teacher saw me and goes, you're going to make me cry. It's like this child has been going to school for three years.
This is just his first day at this school. It just felt like a really big transition to go to TK. It was huge. I know.

**Erin Ryan** (2:53)
It's a big week.

How's your vibe first week of school?

We do not have our shit together. There's so many things that you have to bring. It's like they have to have their names in them and their water bottles, and they're this and they're that, and every school has their own system. Different gates. I feel like when you go into a restaurant, that's one of those fast casual restaurants that serves a bowl of slop, and you just kind of have to go up, and every single one of them has a different way of ordering, and you're like, well, what do I have to order? And it's like, you have to order your base protein. I feel like that's how I feel when I'm going to a new school. It's like, I don't know how to order. I don't know how any of this works.

And then they're getting out at a different time today than they usually do. This is, I'm like, they're asking a lot of our brain power. They're asking a lot.

**Erin Ryan** (3:33)
Yeah, yeah, exactly.

Yeah, this morning I realized I'm gonna have to bid adieu to sleeping past 7 a.m. ever, because sometimes I would go back to sleep until 7 a.m. after my little one wakes me up at 5.30. But no, I got to be up and at by 6.3 now. Yes. I don't warn you about that. Today we are getting into Tuesday night's primary results, Katie Miller's awful taste in men, and we're going back to school, the failed experiment that is school vouchers. The states that still think it's better to back up a dump truck full of cash to schools that can afford it rather than fund schools that need it. Then we'll dig into the trial of Lindsay Clancy, and finally we'll end with Sandy Petty.
