Very last one. So if you've been following along with us, turn to page 133 Today's story is called Safety First. And it's based on the story by Margaret Wang, and it is read today.

**Lisa Bueno** (0:30)
Philip in the house with me. We're going to talk about dinosaurs. Are you ready?
Me too. Here we go.
If anyone can do it, you can. Claire Dearing said to herself, as she walked into her office early one morning, as Jurassic World's operation manager, Claire had declared today Safety Awareness Day, and she was determined to have one day without any kind of mishap logged in the safety book. Not a single report of an escaped dinosaur or a visitor stuck in a gyrosphere, that was all she was asking for. Claire had been busy coming up with cool catch phrases and safety swag to hand out to the employees, but she knew that to truly make today incident free, she'd have to remove the biggest threat of all, her boss.

**Philip** (1:31)
Good morning, Claire.

**Lisa Bueno** (1:33)
Mr. Masrani burst into Claire's office in a strange rubber suit with wires sticking out of it.

**Philip** (1:43)
Capture suit is a state of the art animation tool.

**Lisa Bueno** (1:48)
Whoops! He knocked everything off Claire's desk. From accidentally removing the Pteranodon's aviary roof with his helicopter to crashing an all-terrain vehicle, Claire's boss, Simon Masrani, had caused all sorts of problems. He was a bit of a clutz.
I have to wear it all day, he explained.

**Philip** (2:14)
These sensors are making a computer model of me.

**Lisa Bueno** (2:18)
Soon, I'll be able to send you messages with an animated me.

**Philip** (2:22)
Won't that be something?

**Lisa Bueno** (2:26)
Claire let out a nervous laugh. Yes, that would certainly be something.
Mr. Masrani was about to continue. Um, sir? Claire quickly changed the subject. You've got quite a busy day ahead of you.

**Philip** (2:42)
I know, Claire, I know.

**Lisa Bueno** (2:45)
I've seen the banners and posters everywhere. You have? Claire felt proud. Mr. Masrani didn't normally notice her hard work. Yes, for the special back-to-back showings of all three tyrant, the Lizard King films on the mainland. Mr. Masrani said, If I leave now, I can catch the first one.
Oh, he wants to go see Godzilla movies, right? Kind of sounds like that's what he's gonna do. Claire let out a sigh. Mr. Masrani hadn't noticed her hard work, but then she smiled with Mr. Masrani off the island. There was a much better chance for a zero incident day.
Those are excellent movies, sir! Claire told her boss, Better hurry! You don't want to be late! Masrani trotted out of her office, the wires on his motion capture suit jiggling.
With Mr. Masrani out of the office, Claire decided to visit the park to make sure all the employees were staying safe. Everything on Main Street was in its place, ready to welcome the day's visitors. Employees gave the sidewalk one last sweep and tipped their hard hats to Claire, revealing their Safety First reminders underneath. It's working! Claire thought, it's really working! As the park filled with guests, Claire made one last stop in the gift shop. The store manager smiled and pointed to her Safety First banner hanging behind her. Claire grinned and gave a thumbs up.
I gotta say, I really like the gift shop entry because it's like the mouth of a giant...

No, that's a...

**Lisa Bueno** (4:42)
that's a...

**Philip** (4:43)
that's a food stand. That's a food stand.

**Lisa Bueno** (4:45)
It's a food stand?

**SPEAKER_3** (4:46)
Yeah.

**Lisa Bueno** (4:46)
Oh, I see. Yeah, that's right. That's popcorn. Oh, it's not the gift shop. It's just a popcorn stand outside. But it's... there's a popcorn stand that looks like the mouth of like a T-Rex, maybe?

**Philip** (4:57)
Or a dinosaur.

**Lisa Bueno** (4:58)
Some big dinosaur.
Yeah, a carnivorous dino... Thank you. A very carnivorous dinosaur.

**Philip** (5:03)
Or maybe it's an herbivore dinosaur because popcorns are actually... Like, they're not meat.

**Lisa Bueno** (5:10)
Yeah, popcorn is a grain, huh? But those teeth are definitely carnivorous teeth.

**Philip** (5:16)
Yeah.

**Lisa Bueno** (5:16)
So maybe it's an omnivore. Oh, yeah. Something that eats both meat and vegetables.
On with the story.
After lunch, Clare jumped into a truck and headed to the paddock, where park employees brought injured dinosaurs or dangerous predators. Owen Grady, the park's raptor trainer and animal behaviorist, was watching the raptors press buttons to get treats. Any incidents to report, Owen? Clare asked. Owen cared very much about the dinosaurs. He always thought dinosaurs safety first and not Owen safety first.
