Legal Stuff - Polk Co. Edition!

SPEAKER_1 (0:00)

Ms. Allison, could we please summon in the Attorney General for the state of Indiana, Todd Rakita?

SPEAKER_2 (0:06)

Legal stuff. Crime, punishment, judges, legal stuff.

Nigel (0:14)

Legal stuff.

SPEAKER_1 (0:17)

Dateline, Florida. Police in Florida had no idea they were walking into a love triangle when they were called for a domestic dispute between a mother and a son.

Nigel (0:32)

You're going to have to expand on that a little bit. Strange.

SPEAKER_1 (0:38)

Shane Clemens, 22 years old, was arrested for battering his mother, Christina Clemens, 46 This was a reported domestic violence incident that the authorities showed up to.

But upon investigation, there was a love triangle. The husband didn't even know that he was a part of this. Shane was arrested, but he decided to let the deputies know that he'd been hooking up with his mom since he was 18 years old.

Nigel (1:11)

Come on, is this like a step mom thing? Like you see on the in adult cinema?

SPEAKER_1 (1:18)

Birth mother.

Nigel (1:19)

No!

SPEAKER_2 (1:20)

Since 18 years old.

SPEAKER_1 (1:23)

No!

Now, Nigel, what if I told you this took place in Polk County, Florida? Do you happen to know off the top of your head who the sheriff is in Polk County, Florida?

Nigel (1:38)

There's a certain sheriff that's a friend of the show, I believe, right?

SPEAKER_1 (1:43)

Here with his take on social media is Sheriff Grady Judd.

Grady Judd (1:49)

Shane, you ought not to ever lay a hand on your momma. So he got mad because she called and we arrested him for hitting momma. And then he said, well, I'll tell you what, I've been having sex with my momma since I was 18 years old. He said, say that again.

He said, I've been having sex with my momma since I was 18 years old.

SPEAKER_1 (2:15)

Good Lord.

Grady Judd (2:16)

So we asked momma, have you have been having sex with your son since he was 18? She says, only about 100 times. So we put the case together and we asked Christina's husband, are you all happily married and living together? He said, oh, yeah.

Were you aware that your wife was having sex with her son?

He said, no, I absolutely was not. But I think I am a little suspicious that they used to go in the master bedroom and lock the door. What else can you say? That's nasty. That's nasty. And it's illegal. They got charged with incest. She got charged with adultery. It's still on the books, you know.

SPEAKER_1 (3:06)

Polk County, Florida, Nides, Sheriff Grady Judd, right there.

Nigel (3:10)

Speechless.

I am. That's that's awful. I mean, like, I was starting to feel sorry for people because if they were like underage. But no, this is you say 18 years old is when it started.

SPEAKER_1 (3:25)

The mom thinks she was in the right because she waited until he turned 18 to start doing him. She feels like she did the right thing by the letter of the law.

No, no, but this does bring us to great moments in Sheriff Grady Judd history.

Nigel (3:42)

Thank you. Let's move on.

SPEAKER_1 (3:43)

Here is when the sheriff of Polk County had to tell the media about a story of a tranny hooker.

Grady Judd (3:51)

You order up a prostitute, right?

This prostitute lives with his mother, by the way. He's got a massive criminal history, a 21 year criminal history, with 31 criminal charges. So you order up a prostitute, and that's what you think you're getting.

SPEAKER_1 (4:10)

Shows a picture.

Grady Judd (4:11)

Now, when you look at that, you go, man, it's pretty rough, but you know, any port in the storm. And then the next morning when you wake up, you find out this is who it really is.

SPEAKER_1 (4:24)

The after picture.

Grady Judd (4:26)

Yeah.

We call that coyote ugly. You see, he's laying on your arm, in bed, you go, where was rough last night? But I've sobered up. I think I'll just chew my arm off and ease away, so I don't disturb him or wake him up. All right. So you think you're buying this, you're getting this. He's got 31 criminal charges. And heck, if you're lucky, he doesn't kill you overnight.

Nigel (4:56)

You know, when people ask me, like, who's the most famous person you've ever talked to, like, in your broadcasting career? I say Sheriff Grady Judd.

SPEAKER_1 (5:05)

And you and I both laugh because we've been in the, well, any port in the storm phase in our life before. Yeah, true.

Nigel (5:15)

That's another aspect of the story I wasn't going to acknowledge, but those lights come on at Rock Lobster at 3 o'clock in the morning on a Saturday night.
