So today was the final day for the Supreme Court, this session, and we knew we were getting some big decisions. And the big one was birthright citizenship.
Now, President Trump had already been kind of laying the groundwork, Jerry. I think he was anticipating a loss here, and ultimately that's what he got. But it was closer than people think. This was a five to four vote with Roberts and Amy Coney Barrett siding with the liberal justices to uphold birthright citizenship. So now, let's say you're an illegal alien in this country, you and your wife, you guys drop a surety, even though you're here illegally, that child is now a birthright citizen of the United States thanks to this ruling from the Supreme Court.
**Nigel** (1:05)
Yeah, and this would stop the... Do you remember they're splitting up families? This is why they split up families, because we say if you come here and pump one out, they're a citizen, and now we have to deport the mom and dad, and now we have to split up the family. This is the home of anchor babies. This is the problem. This is not refugee status or protected status or here on asylum. This is you overstayed a visa. You had no business being here illegally. It's different.

And in a dissent, Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito just tore this decision down. Like they were legitimately ticked off. And oh, by the way, if you saw a report that Alito was retiring, fake news. Somebody had leaked that out by mistake, and Alito came out and said, yeah, I'm not going anywhere. As a matter of fact, he was still ticked off about this.
So yeah, that's the headliner today. Trump taking the L on birthright citizenship. You expect Roberts to kind of do this. Roberts has always been somewhat of a weasel, always been a Bush guy. The Bush guy is kind of known to be a little weasel like.
But Amy Coney Barrett once again seems like she's siding with Kentonji Brown Jackson more than she does with Clarence Thomas, Jerry.
**Nigel** (2:23)
Yeah, but you know what? This kind of gives me faith in the justice system, because in some weird way, if the justice system is the way everybody says it is, and to a point the way I wish it was, if it was an R, we're passing everything. I don't care what it says. So this makes me give faith that at least these people at these positions of power take it seriously, then I can respect it.
**Hammer** (2:43)
So based on this logic, and I saw a tweet earlier, I think it was from our pal Jeff Boggs, based on this logic that we're getting from Amy Coney Barrett, if you're breaking into Taylor Swift's house to rob Taylor Swift, you and your pregnant girlfriend, Jerry, and she decides to just drop down, drop a shorty, and that baby is born there, does Taylor Swift have to raise that baby because that's where the baby was born?
**Nigel** (3:09)
I mean, technically, if you ask Billie Eilish, nobody's illegal in stolen land, so that is all of our houses anyway. So kumbaya, we all live here now.
**Hammer** (3:17)
Win for the Trump administration today was the trans athletes decision. This was a six to three vote, and you'll normally see six to three votes as the liberal justices will stick together.
The Supreme Court upholding bans in two specific states, Idaho and West Virginia, banning, banning transgender athletes, basic biological males competing against girls in sports. Now, keep in mind, this decision does not eliminate that from states that have said it's okay. It's made it a state's rights issue. But in this decision, the states, Idaho and West Virginia, banned biological males from competing against women.
And the Supreme Court said states are allowed to do that. But I think there's like 20 something states that still think it's just fine for a biological dude to be competing against real girls.
**Nigel** (4:18)
Yeah, this is terrifying. I have four daughters. Listen, ladies, you guys need to ban together on this. There's nothing wrong with standing together. Women have a big part in like just trying to be part of this movement. Let guys join this movement with you. This is this is nuts. Less than 1% of youth aged 13 to 17 identify as transgender. Why are we letting this tear us apart as a country? This is a stupid issue. We should all agree.
