Today's gaming news stories include Xbox's Physint has cast its lead role, Media Molecule's new game isn't what you'd expect, and we now have the answers to those GTA 6 music artist teases. We'll have all this more because this is Kinda Funny Games Daily.

Yo, what's up? Welcome to Kinda Funny Games Daily for Thursday, September 17th, 2026 I'm your host, Blessing Adeoye Jr. Joining me is the LaCroix Poppy, Tim Moe Boy Gettys.

Tim Gettys (0:32)

Been a couple days since I've been on Games Daily, and I was excited. I saw on the calendar I'm on today, and I'm like, please give me some fun stuff to talk about. And they listened. We got some really fun stuff to talk about today. And later today, I'm watching Resident Evil.

Blessing Adeoye Jr. (0:44)

I'm so excited for you.

Tim Gettys (0:45)

Very excited. I watched your Games Daily yesterday. You got me even more hyped.

Blessing Adeoye Jr. (0:48)

Yeah.

Tim Gettys (0:49)

Yeah, very excited for this.

The plan is for us to do a screencast review of it early next week. So a couple more people are going to try to watch it over the weekend.

Blessing Adeoye Jr. (0:58)

I legitimately, like I said on KFG, this might be one of my favorite video game movies. And as I've been sitting with it, I feel that feeling more and more.

Tim Gettys (1:06)

Good, man. That's good.

Blessing Adeoye Jr. (1:07)

I can't tell if I'm crazy. I can't wait for more people to watch this movie to see where other people land. Yeah. Because it's such a fun time. It's just a fun like, hey, sit back, relax, enjoy the rock sort of movie. Relax. Relax as much as you can during a Resident Evil thing.

Tim Gettys (1:20)

It's like a Zach Cragher movie.

Blessing Adeoye Jr. (1:21)

Yeah. Now, before the show, Tim, you mentioned that there's a, speaking of video game movies.

Tim Gettys (1:25)

Speaking of Capcom.

Blessing Adeoye Jr. (1:26)

Speaking of Capcom, a, not Resident Evil, Street Fighter Popcorn Bucket.

Tim Gettys (1:31)

The Street Fighter Popcorn Bucket has been revealed. I was teasing you with it. I was, you haven't seen it. And I was like, you were trying to guess what it was. You were like, is it like a beat up car?

Blessing Adeoye Jr. (1:41)

A beat up car. I think I said what? Reuse glove. You said...

Tim Gettys (1:45)

And then I gave you the hint that you can wear it.

Blessing Adeoye Jr. (1:47)

Which eliminates so many guesses for me because I would have said like a Hadouken.

Something that you can wear. I have no idea what that could be. It's Street Fighter.

Tim Gettys (1:55)

So you don't just wear things.

Blessing Adeoye Jr. (2:01)

Is it a bandana?

Tim Gettys (2:02)

No, you wear things on your head. Exactly. Exactly.

Blessing Adeoye Jr. (2:05)

Head. Uh-huh.

Is it like a Blanca mask or like a Blanca head?

Tim Gettys (2:10)

No, no.

Blessing Adeoye Jr. (2:14)

Is it Giles' hair?

Tim Gettys (2:15)

Can we see the picture?

Blessing Adeoye Jr. (2:16)

Is it Giles' hair? It's Giles' hair. No way. Oh my God.

Tim Gettys (2:20)

There's popcorn in it.

Blessing Adeoye Jr. (2:21)

That's fucking awesome.

It's funny because I said it and I couldn't picture how they would make it. But actually, you know what? And I love that they have Cody Rhodes actually modeling the thing. That's so good. That's so funny.

SPEAKER_3 (2:36)

What a world we live in.

Tim Gettys (2:37)

I know. I can't wait.

Blessing Adeoye Jr. (2:39)

Man, how, what, when does it come out? Is that next month? Is that during top 100?

Tim Gettys (2:43)

Pretty much a month from yesterday.

It's during top 100 It's during that week.

Blessing Adeoye Jr. (2:48)

Yeah, it's going to be a good time.

Tim Gettys (2:49)

It's going to be a good time.

Blessing Adeoye Jr. (2:51)

Tim, we're going to have a really good time talking about video game news today, because remember, if you're watching live, you can be a part of the show too by super chatting in over on youtube.com/kindafunnygames. We couldn't do this without our producers over on patreon.com/kindafunny. So thank you to Omega Buster, Delaney, the song twining and Michael Pezzavento. For now, let's begin with what is and forever will be the Roper Report. We have seven stories today.

Starting with our number one, Bill Skarsgard is to star in Kojima's Physint video game from Xbox, which is a sentence that if you went back in time just a year, if you went back in time just three weeks ago, our brains would explode.
