On WhatsApp, your personal messages stay private between you and whoever you send them to. So things like the passport numbers for your honeymoon stay between you and your fiance. And that video call for your grand's 80th stays in the family. Even your streaming password stays between you and your college roommates who still ask for it every week in your group chat. Because on WhatsApp, your personal messages are yours. No one else can see or hear them. Not even us. WhatsApp. Message privately.

Market Moving Insight and Analysis join Jim Cramer, David Faber and me, Carl Quintanilla on the opening bell hour of CNBC Squawk on the Street. Good Tuesday morning. Welcome to Squawk on the Street. I'm Carl Quintanilla with Jim Cramer, David Faber is back at Post 9 of the New York Stock Exchange. Stocks are set to add to those recent highs as a few companies trim guidance or at least quantify the impact of tariffs. Goldman today says the labor market is set to approach what it calls stall speed, 10 year 436 Our roadmap begins with earnings season ramping up. GM, Coke, defense stocks and the home builders are all on the move.

David Faber (1:36)

Plus, we're going to keep an eye on shares of Alphabet aiming for what would be its 10th straight day of gains that would tie its longest streak, at least in the company's history. And the road ahead for the rails will have the latest details on at least what might be that potential for M&A in that industry.

Carl Quintanilla (1:54)

Let's get right to the markets. Coming off another record close for the S&P and the NASDAQ this morning as investors digest this morning's batch of earnings, including Coca-Cola and GM. Jim, we talked some Stellantis yesterday and GM does quantify at least the first half tariff impact.

Jim Cramer (2:08)

GM, look, they obviously have a tariff problem. It's much bigger than a lot of people think. The theme of this quarter is that you have to have a tariff problem and then you have to make it smaller. RTX did that. It was like, wow, we thought it was going to be like 800, it's going to be like 500 So when you see something that seems like a very large number, it's entirely possible that people say, well, wait a second, that's not so good. I'd like to point out that there was a lot that was good. And I think that Mary Barra is doing a very, very fine job because the only thing, you know, added costs, but they're selling.

And I think that those who want to sell the stock go ahead, but I think that they're, I think that this is just another good quarter despite the tariffs. I think they can handle it. You disagree?

David Faber (2:59)

Do I disagree? No. I mean, the visibility in terms of the impact of tariffs and what they're doing to mitigate that apparently did not yet come to the fore in terms of this quarter. So I guess, what did they say? Impact would be four to five billion over the course of the year?

Carl Quintanilla (3:14)

Four to four and a half for the full year. And we're pacing about in line with that, he says.

Jim Cramer (3:18)

Right, and believe me, they're going to have a lot more that I think can go their way. When I was speaking to Cleveland Cliffs yesterday, to Lorenzo Gonzalves, who does not say hi.

David Faber (3:30)

Tell him I don't say hi back, please.

Jim Cramer (3:31)

Okay, very good. I mean, he's just talking about, look, this is the beginning of a lot of different things. It's very in flux. GM has, Ford has told me that GM has much, much exposure versus Ford. So, I'm looking for Ford to have a good quarter. By the way, Ford's going from 10 to, you know, Ford's making a 20% move here. So, I look to see who has the most exposure. And I've got to tell you, Ford was right when it said, be careful, GM. Because everyone in the industry knows that there's a lot of companies ship a lot of stuff, get the Allison Motor down there in Mexico, comes back. GM, David's like back and forth with the car. Jack back and forth with the car. That is not what they want. Coca-Cola. Now, I'm going to defend James Quincy here.
