The Kohberger Family has broken their silence.

Let's just start here. And in the comment section, I'd love to get your thoughts.

What's, I don't want to say rights. Everybody has the right to express whatever they believe. And if they believe someone that their own loved one did not do this, it is their right to speak up and it is their right to say we support. I get it. We're in a country where you can do that. And I appreciate that. But my God, we all have choices in life. We all have different paths we can go down. We're presented with situations. And then from there, your path, where do you want to go? If you're presented the situation that, for whatever reason, you end up having Rosemary's baby, he clearly has a track record of, again, for lack of a better term, creepy behavior throughout life.

All the evidence points directly to your son doing this. It looks like he did it. He admitted to doing it, literally. I know you say, oh, he was forced into it. We'll get to that in a minute.

But at some point, it is your choice to go down that road versus, you know what? Time to cut ties here. This isn't how I raised you. No, it's probably not. I don't think anybody raises anybody with the intention of creating whatever the hell you would call Bryan Kohberger. But sometimes it goes far beyond what you raised and the control that you have as a parent, even if you're loving and caring. And clearly, look, in that household, you got other kids, other adults now who were raised by the same parents. And it turned out, by all accounts, pretty well-managed, good human beings who are just living life. Nothing to see here. And you got one that really went off the rails. It's when the people that are on a good track, seemingly, decide to jump off their good track to support the one that's way the fuck off the track. And there ain't no pulling him back on. It's not just, oh, he's a little open. I'm telling you, you missed your window. If you're trying to make up for lost times, to get Bryan back on track, you missed your window. And I know you all tried. I mean, in your own ways, I get it. I mean, I don't know how much is too much or how much is too little. With a brain like Bryan Kohberger's, I think the answer is, there will never be enough. You're never going to get someone like that in a healthy place because their brain's not capable of it.

But unfortunately, we are now going to be watching the Kohberger family derail themselves.

I guess even more than they've already been derailed by Bryan. I think that they don't realize just how much control they do have to not go and not follow in little brides' footsteps in terms of support. But again, we're a free country. You are welcome to support whoever you want. But what does this say to you that the family is standing behind Bryan Kohberger's pathetic appeal attempts? Just a family supporting their kid, lying to it?

Or, I don't know. Curious to get your thoughts as we go through this. Kohberger's family broke their silage insuring a joint statement to ABC News through two retained attorneys, Michael and Mary Ann, the parents, Amanda and Mel, the sisters, four people. One carefully coordinated message. They want Bryan's guilty plea thrown out, and they want a trial. Isn't that cute? Isn't that cute? The statement came by way of Amori & Associates, a Pennsylvania law firm, along with Jason Goldman, a civil attorney out of New York. And look, it was worded very delicately. They made a point to say their support does not come from a place of disregard for the victims or their families. What they claim to want is the complete and unvarnished truth. Something they say can only come through a proper trail as opposed to an improper plea. I like that you're grabbing words from a book that's full of shit. Improper plea. Is that you found some hot words? Oh, bumper stickers. These will work. Makes people, it makes the pro-burgers, you know, yeah.

Well, you certainly get some people behind you. With that improper plea that he chose to take on his own free will. I guess you guys were apparently back there too, helping him along with this decision. And now he's regretting this decision and he's kind of blaming everybody but himself. What a surprise, Bryan Kohberger not taking responsibility for his own choices in life. No way. Not little bry.
